So these aren't much(honestly I'm still not happy with Marc's) but here are the designs for TerraDiamond and Trick Kit, who are Turtle!Ondine and Fox!Marc for my fic "Of Truths and Lies, I Know My Side" (thanks to @lenoreofraven for the names)

So as the top paragraph suggests(as well as my AO3 tags), I have replaced both Alya and Nino with Marc and Ondine. I'm going to try my best to explain why.

Marc/Trick Kit: Now this was inspired by "Success, the best form of revenge" for it raised some good points. Marc's a writer, he is just beaming with creativity. That's something that Trixx can work with and something that can be useful in battle. Marc also probably wouldn't fall for Lila's lies and would stand by Marinette, especially since it looks like Marinette was/has been the first person to reach out to Marc. Marc would probably be loyal for that, or at least less likely to turn on Marinette.

Ondine/TerraDiamond: While she might not be a tank like Ivan but she could still be as intimidating due to her height, especially if someone messed with her friends. Plus if there's an another water akuma where the turtle is needed, she would be a perfect fit in that situation for being an excellent swimmer. While it's unsure if she's a student at Dupot or not, I feel like she would keep up with professional swimmers and would point out any lies Lila would probably say about knowing any professional swimmers. And if she found out that Lila was bullying poor lil Marinette? Well... Someone might get drowned.

-Her hero name is Mer-Turtle

-Her costume, honestly @zoe-oneesama‘s version is how I imagine her costume except as a wet suit, honestly look at all their Kwami swaps they’re everything

-The turtle miraculous really is the best suited for her, it’s in the action but not super offensive, she loves protecting people as Mer-Turtle

-I have no idea what would possess Marinette in canon to give Ondine a miraculous in canon seeing as they’ve never even talked. I have ideas for AUs, but I’m trying to keep this to canon if they are someone without a miraculous in canon (however all the names powers and costumes stay the same)

-If I did have to put it to canon I would say Kim would be made full time by Fu and he would run off to get a miraculous because Fu told him about the miraculouses and stuff, and he gets there before Fu and in a moment of surprising intuitiveness he choses the Turtle for Ondine, however reluctantly 

-Ondine figures out who Kim is in a second and when Ondine transforms all he can say is wow because girl be looking even more beautiful than usual

-On the battlefield a sort of annoyed Marinette figures out who Mer-Turtle is in a second as well because she already figured out who Roi Signe was and who else would he pick

-Ondine likes being a hero, likes protecting people, she’s shy to the public as a hero but everyone just thinks she’s the sweetest hero they have, even more so than Ladybug

-Ondine and Wayzz are pretty much the cutest miraculous duo there is, because the two are both really nice and protective people, Wayzz doesn’t understand all of Ondine’s quirks but he goes out of his way to learn about them

For Tortue Marina, would Marinette give Ondine the recipe for the green Miraculous potion as Ladybug since she knows that it would be more of her element? Is that why her de facto transformation is a sea turtle?

She’s a sea turtle because of the pun of her being a swimmer and getting the turtle miraculous. And no, Marinette has no reason to share the recipe with Ondine, someone who’ll be a temp hero. If she ever shares the recipe, it’ll be with a close, consistent partner. But that will depend if she has Fu’s ok.
