Excuse myself, I have reached 100 followers? Should I do something to commemorate this? Is this a big deal? Am I being dramatic?
oh, hi franklin~
Post #10! In this workshop we worked with a guest speaker who taught us about Industrial Design! We listened to her journey and how she started off in a completely different area of deisgn, and how she stumbled onto this course by chance. This activity we were given a client to design for, and asked to sketch out a bunch of designs. Here is my final protoype, it's an animal style water bottle for a toddler! Although, for toddlers you have to design it with features the parents will love, and so I went off topic and designed the idea of a whole line of animal water bottles! Each water bottle will be a different animal with it's special characteristics featured in some way, and each water bottle could give at least 50% of proceedes to charities that support those animals, and especially endagered animals! That way the parents feel good, the toddler can have their favourite animal, and the profits from this water bottle also helps animals in the wild!
Post #9! Here we were given a backyard to design with plants and other things! This was very difficult in a group but we all had a fun time dicussing where things should go, and in the end this is what we came up with! Afterward we were shown how this specific backyard went through a bunch of plan transformations, and the final result was nothing like what the family wanted! But we were told apparently they're very happy with it, even though it's so much more expensive than some other variations!
Post #8! This week we took pictures of our Seed paper poppies and also learned a bit about our college campus student run store! It was so cool being in there for the fist time, and I was window shopping the whole time our guest speaker was talking hehe! I also took this photo of another project for a different course! It was originally a fall throw blanket that I turned into this beatiful dress! Can't wait for more fun! The poppy seed flower was even mentioned in articles where my college was celebrated for coming up with one possible solution to replace the single plastic use of regular poppy pins!
Post #7! This week I wasn't able to attend the workshop but I heard we designed a bedroom in a CAD system I believe! It sounded very fun but also a little hard because I know 3D modelling software can get relly finicky or some parts of it can be stubborn! I would've designed a really organized room and maybe even gotten some ideas for my own room since I like to change things up!
Post #6! For our Graphic design workshop we have some of my sketches for my personal buisness! I am not personally starting a business yet, but it's nice to get ideas now. I have always had a ton of fun desiging logos since high school, and the fact I was able to realize some of them in digital media made me so excited! It was hard thinking about nice things to say about myself at 8am in the morning, but I still had fun talking to classmates trying to come up with ideas!
