I think I only have one OC (who isn't collecting dust) who uses a bow and arrow. He uses a bow and arrow cuz he flies. I don't know if I ever addressed if he has something else he can use in case he's cornered.

It occurred to me recently that it must annoy Alucard when a mosquito gets into the house. Shiko can probably just zap it but doesn't wanna risk getting bitten.

Rien could just burn it on contact but sometimes they won't go near him for some reason. He feels bad waiting for the mosquito to try to bite Shiko so he starts throwing fireballs at it. Shiko tries to get him to stop before he sets something ablaze, but then the mosquito lands on her and they both start screaming. Alucard hears the commotion and runs in to find the drapes smoking. Good thing they always keeps fire extinguishers in the house.

It recently occurred to me that I can draw my own sprites for Mugen. I don't know if I can handle that power. There are only a few of my characters that I draw more than once every 3 years or something. And I don't think I ever finalized what weapons they use. I think I said Hale just uses a parrying knife or something. Shiko uses a spear. I keep flip flopping on whether or not Rien has like Wolverine style claws. At one point he was supposed to use a sword. Then I thought that seemed dumb when he can shoot fireballs and breathe fire and whatnot. Hm...

I think I mentioned in my notes that Zero often uses some kinda enhanced sword to fight with the monstrous hostile aliens. (By Zero I mean my character from Construct, that game/visual novel concept I mention once in a while.)

The Constructs have built in weapons but Zero apparently thinks it's usually less exhausting to swing a big sword than it is to shoot the beasts with lasers or whatever Evie installed in him. Maybe it takes a moment for his beam to activate or aim or whatever. Apparently the blades of most claymores are a lot thinner than I thought. Tachi blades are kinda thin looking too. I dunno what exactly he's wielding, then.

It's supposed to be a two handed sword, proportionately long enough for a 6 ft tall man to use. The blade is straight, I think. It's probably made outta some material that the ally aliens developed. (I need some excuse to justify why it can cut through weird biomechanical kaiju monsters.)

I've mentioned before that Kanon's monstrous form looks like a mix of different animals. They're a freaky looking chimera. They're like 9 ft/274cm when standing up straight, and frequently sit on their haunches like a bizarre dog or kangaroo or something. They slouch a lot. Yet despite their size they're strangely stealthy. They can probably climb walls. I don't know how, exactly. Probably like either a gecko or a frog. So their feet either have microscopic hairs or like sticky pad things that work kinda like suction cups.

Uh. Body horror mention I guess? And discussion of kinda gory unpleasant grievous injuries for a zombie like character who regenerates.

I mentioned a long time ago that Blood has used Hale's dismembered arm to bludgeon monsters. (Usually they go see a friend of theirs who's a back alley doctor to get patched up. But if he's unavailable, Blood will sew Hale back together.) Neither goes out of their way to get maimed. Sometimes a necromancer accidentally makes an abomination that has to be put down, or somebody summons something they really shouldn't have. Blood and Hale are kinda like the MiB in a world already populated by vampires, werewolves, ESP'ers, nekomata, tengu, selkie, etc. They get banged up a bit. Sometimes more than a bit.

Anyway, if he got stabbed, Hale wouldn't be all that concerned. Even though piercing his heart is guaranteed to permanently kill him. ("Do you know how hard it is to drive a blade through the human ribcage?") If it's short enough for him to safely maneuver/fight with it sticking out, he'll leave it in until they've caught their target and they can see their doctor friend. But depending on the length of the blade or the handle and the angle, he might try to pull it out himself. Hale tries to be all level headed, serious, and professional but he's a bit scatterbrained at times. I can just see him asking "Hey, are you gonna need your stinger tail thing back?" The monster just stares at him in confusion. Hale shows it to Blood after they've apprehended their target. "Isn't this cool? I bet you could use it like a spear! It'd give you good reach!"

Blood is torn between laughing at how out of character Hale is being, laughing because wow his partner is a morbid guy and the absurdity of the situation, or scolding him. ("Are you crazy? Your wife would never forgive me if you died from something like that! I'd never forgive you if you died from something like that!")
