ICYMI…😍😍😍
Baby Yoda/The Child is one of my two new designs for this year’s #comicconathomeartshow. This is now the fourth nerdy jointed crochet doll I’ve designed. (Who should I design next??? 🤔) You can see Baby Groot, Thanos, Spider Ham and some of my other dolls and cross-stitch designs in the #comiccon Art Show over at @comicconathome
But before you head over there, here’s a little #followfriday tip for #comicconathome:
One of the things I miss most about exhibiting at cons is meeting fellow crafters and wanna-be crafters. My favorite part of each convention was talking to kids especially who were drawn to my table by a cute crochet Batman and ended up showing interest in what I was doing and asking how they could learn to crochet. Known characters are such a great way to attract kids (and adults) to crafting! It gives them the motivation to learn the craft while creating something they’re excited about. (Someday I hope to be part of inspiring kids with a book or kit of my own nerdy designs! 🤗)
So, since we can’t be together this con season, here’s what I always tell those interested kids who want to get started in nerdy crafting: check out #thunderbaypress kits! They have some amazing geeky properties to choose from, and the kits come with everything you need to get started without having to commit to a bunch of new supplies. You may need to look up some beginner video tutorials online, but you’ll have all the instructions and tools to create your own adorable little character to show off to your friends.
Better yet, start a socially distanced zoom meeting with your friends and learn together! 😃
