Headcannons for how Cagney would react about his s/o turning into a fairy. A nature fairy no less (sorry if this is too vague)

I don’t think he is so surprised if his S/O is a fairy since in Inkwell you can find the most absurd and magical creatures. Not a big deal for him.
He’s not the kind of plant who gets surprised for something, he does not like surprises in general because he’s very wary and he thinks everyone is a pain in the ass –in his leaf ass-.
He thinks his S/O is very adorable, he likes everything about them even if he’s rare he says it because he’s still grumpy and he never compliments with people –not even with the people he loves-.
It takes a lot of time before he trusts his fairy S/O, but it’s normal and he’s not a social plant and he likes being alone with his flowers without anybody around.
Sometimes, he can make an exception and accept their presence. They are his favourite guest (actually, he does not have so many guests) but he loves them and he likes having them around.
Cagney and his S/O often participate to flower contests and the two of them always win. They are the perfect team and all his vegetable friends are jealous.
Since they are a nature fairy, they know everything about flowers and plants and so they can help Cagney to take care of his garden and he’s very glad.
He cannot date a person who hates flowers and plants, no way, it’s unacceptable!
He’s jealous (and a little bit angry) when they say they are the king/queen of the forest because Cagney defines the forest as his realm and so he is the only one who should say it.
Yes, his S/O and he can be the rulers of this realm and the forest is their home.
