To celebrate the end of a semester, Jaxon decided he’d fly all his friends out to a private island. He thought it was the perfect opportunity to mend some broken friendships after secrets and betrayals wormed their way into their friend group. As of right now, he wasn’t on good terms with Alexis. He’d been hooking up with someone else after a year of doting on her with extravagant gifts and attention. He wasn’t sure why he swerved and got with someone else. Relationships were hard and Jaxon wasn’t used to giving or receiving love. “Thanks for coming.” Jaxon whispered, unable to meet her eyes. Everyone else left the hot tub but him and Alexis. He was sure she’d leave soon, too. The awkward tension was too much.
