Bug of the Day

So this is pretty cool - A couple of weeks ago I found this Tussock Moth (likely hickory tussock moth, Lophocampa caryae) who had just laid eggs on the Vuku I use to house my bug light (IYKYK). been a minute since I've bugposted, mostly because bugs are becoming a far less frequent sight as it gets colder and colder. Here's some little friends, lots of spiders and parasitic wasps who enjoy scurrying around in the fallen leaves :)
