I unironically just really like weird/fucked up variants of characters that were nice in the source material.

Like Tutariel from Undertale 2: Revenge of the robots, or Fell!Toriel, or Noyno from Deltarune Ribbit (although technically Noyno is just Ralsei if he was originally named Tim and had a complex about not being taken seriously.)

these are specifically just UTDR examples but it also applies to other characters
