this is a crazy thing to ask but is there a specific keyword or system you use to find webcore resources? i feel like yours always match super well idk no pressure to answer!!

oh boy anon, get ready for my biggest ramble yet. but here's all the ways i look for webcore stuff:

okay‼️first thing first, look for the basics! so words like: webcore... overlays, pngs, cutouts, stickers, etc. also a little more specific like computer tabs, cursors, pixel fonts, computer icons, etc etc

but my special key is picking a specific ui! ui means user interface and, explained as simply as simply as possible, it basically means how a thing looks online! so when editing webcore, you choose a ui style you want to go for, and use the above keywords alongside the ui name to search for them! it tends to let you find more specific things as opposed to the vague "webcore computer tabs" lmao. so here's some of my favorite ui's!

*BEFORE I START! these arent all! theres so many cool computer ui's! this site has lots of them in order of creation, and learning the names makes it easier to find what you like :]

windows xp!

this is the most known one, especially known for bliss, the wallpaper featured here! windows xp ui works awesome for frutiger aero or more colorful webcore stuff! its known for very round tabs and icons, 3d looking stuff, and lots of green and blue!

windows 95!

this one is also fairly popular! its much more flat in comparison to xp, focusing more on teal with monochrome or blue tabs and pixely icons and pixels!

system 1 aka macintosh!

ones of my ult. faves..very flat and commonly completely or mostly monochrome! its all very pixely and with thin lines! (i made pngs for this one, theyre on my old blog!)

additionally, webcore, while it usually focuses on computers, is WEBcore! so you can look for ui's for fun stuff like girls go games, irc, cooking mama, even stuff like youtube!

and you can even try stepping out of the web, and look at the hardware! pick a computer or game console, and use that! like a nintendo ds or a macintosh computer!

the key is really just knowing the name of what youre looking for! as opposed to just looking for 'webcore pngs', use more specific keywords alongside that in your searches and you'll find literal goldmines of stuff!

but before i really go crazy, and start listing every single ui and computer i know, here's a bunch of sites you can check out instead:

. . . you can follow a lot of these with words like: png, cutout, texture, overlay, sticker, icon, etc etc!

hhhiiiiiei how did you do the texture on your pretty stongbads

yowdy howdy ! its a black paper texture set to " screen " + this halftone effect set to " overlay " . i didn't save the version with the effects on my canvas so i can't tell you the opacities but if i had to guess from memory ... the paper is around 20-30% and the halftone is around um ... 60-100% . of course of course futz around and find out what works best for your art :J

how do you make high quality gifs?? 😭

I use EZgif if you’re talking abt how I make my layouts, the actual gifs I use I steal from google. in case you want to know how to add high quality gifs and keep ‘em high quality, here ya go :)

I go on EZGIF and go to effects

after that go to add overlay, upload the gif you want, then use this

to input what you what the gif to be on(make sure where you want the gif to go has a transparent bg kinda like this)

then you click the generate image button, and it’ll load the overlay with the gif under it, then you can save it :) you might need to change the size of the gif to fit the overlay, to do that you just go to ‘resize’ or ‘crop’

(I feel like I over explained this but even if this isn’t what you meant at least it’s here for ppl who need it 😭)
