I've got a snippet from a new fic I've been working on. Henry is the host of a kid's TV show and Alex's daughter is one of the kids on it. But hmm... it seems like they've met before...
Preview:
"Where's Rey?" Henry asked River. The other kids and parents had arrived, but they were still waiting on her.
"Her dad called to say they're running a bit late."
As she said it the door burst open. Rey flew in the room, looking adorable in her space buns and all green outfit. She had clearly been running since she was out of breath
Then her parent followed, and Henry stopped in his tracks. He was disheveled as well; his curls were eschew and there was a bead of sweat running down his forehead.
But that wasn't what Henry cared about. No, what mattered to him was that the person who had walked through the door was Alex, his supposedly one-night stand from the other night.
