Hey so um fuck yall for only giving us 14 days to save our information

I know its just an app but I've been using this to track everything I've ever watched and I have friends on there as well

It was the best place to discuss fandoms because you couldn't see the comments on the episode/movie until after you marked it as watched.

I also really enjoyed it marking where it was available to be watched. I enjoyed being able to create separate groups for easier tracking. I've ranted and raved about how good this app is for YEARS.

Only for yall to delete it with only a 14 day warning and a hey save your shit we are deleting everything. Fucking assholes I was rooting for you.

Like I hate Letterbox where am I supposed to go now. I'll do research after I figure out how to save my information. I've watched 24 months worth of shows and 4 months worth of movies so I have a lot of content to save.

ETA that my best friend pointed out that they didn't want to have to answer questions or pay for their crime and thats why they gave us such short notice. (I know its not a crime but I hate it so it's a crime to me)

I've been on Reddit for the past few days talking to other people who have become orphans of TV Time just like me. Trying to find an alternative. And I came across this very interesting thread that might be of interest to those of you who also want an answer.

Honestly, I don't know to what extent I believe that paying wouldn't save TV Time, but I agree that it might not cover all the necessary costs. TV Time didn't seem to have such a large fanbase to me until now. To maintain so much data, it would probably need more than half of its users, and I don't know how many would pay. Depending on the price, I probably wouldn't pay; I just don't think an app for tracking TV shows and movies should be paid for.

TV Time randomly deciding to shut down because whomstdafuq in the company decided to put all money into AI; the app giving just a singular pop-up; them not sending any emails; them not giving any extended option after the shut down for us to export our data; me loosing my data of almost 6 years due to all this - was not on my 2026 bingo card. :/

Io ho scaricato i dati e li sto guardando ora ma a parte che sono in csv e quindi difficili da leggere, i commenti meme/immagini non ci sono e le stats con la data di visione degli episodi per qualche ragione me li dà solo fino al 2018 😭😭 sono abbastanza disperata...

Per quanto riguarda le alternative ho fatto una breve ricerca e provato a scaricare Showly e Serialized, che da quanto ho letto sarebbero fra le alternative piu simili (?) ma Serialized mi pare inusabile, non fa che caricare e dare errore... Slowly è la meno peggio e ha una sezione per i commenti... peccato che non ce ne siano 💀💀
