holy crap, man. i knew tv's kyle. he used to be a friend of mine. i had no idea. i honestly had no idea. i feel so disgusted and i wasn't even involved. i really had no idea.

i'm just so glad i never introduced him to my kids.

my god, this is... i seriously don't know how to process this right now. holy crap.

hey this is your friendly reminder that Bandcamp is donating 100% of their share of sales today (June 19th, 2020) to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund

on top of that, Merge Records is also donating their share of profits today to the same legal defense fund, so if you (like me) can’t get enough of The Magnetic Fields, now’s as good a time as any to chuck some money in their direction.

oh yeah! and Needlejuice Records put out an album called Needlejustice, and all of their share of the proceeds for that will go to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund as well. It seems like a really bangin’ album, with songs from artists such as: Lemon Demon, TV’s Kyle, Nuclear Bubble Wrap, Ookla the Mok, and Worm Quartet! I’ve been listening to those folks for 10+ years now, and I love them all.

(personally, I’ll be getting the album on cassette because I am That Guy™, but they also have CDs and digital downloads)

so uhhh yeah, if you like music and want to help fight for racial justice, those are some ways to do that

So the latest project in my film class was to create an original music video, and @tvskyle was nice enough to give me his permission to use his song. So with only two days to put something together, here’s what I got. Sorry if it sucks, after my teacher heard I actually got authorial permission, he MADE me post it on here.

@tvskyle did this piece for me a million years ago and I still love it with every fiber of my being.  ...Does that say 2009?  Jeez.  We’ve taken the site that held all of the Deddrie comics down, in preparation for moving the whole thing to the rowyngolde.com site.  It’ll work the way Oh Hell, Donna! does. ALL OF THAT is because I’m not going to be doing any new Deddrie strips, but I do plan on having some short animations done.  Beyond that, there will be a collected book of every comic (with major edits) available hopefully in 2017.  Here’s to the future and my inability to let characters go!
