Trying not to feel salty but... someone I know that requested tickets close to the cut off point already got confirmed tickets, whereas I was on that website at the crack of midnight day 1 and am still in the dreadful queue. Like???

Then there's others like I don't even know how I'm gonna get there?!🤪 So take your ass out the running?! NYers to the front!

Then rando "influencers" you've never seen post about the show a day in your life foaming at the mouth, @'ing AMC, and the sucky part is you know they will get a direct invite because they have the #'s. Meanwhile its been you and your mutuals keeping the fandom alive since day 1 still in the queue.

The Vampire Lestat Live at Beacon Theatre June 2 2026

TLDR: I didn’t get in but had a great time anyway

Like most fans I was on 1iotas website the minute tickets went live and was glued to my email wishing, hoping, praying for the “you’ve got tickets email” that never came.

And in the meantime, I was prepping. I wanted a TVL shirt but not willing to spend $30 on the AMC shop one that might not come in time. I searched around for the perfect cotton t, raided my craft stash for the scrap of glittery iron on transfer vinyl I got a YEAR before and made my own tee for $7.

Initially.

We wont talk about how it came out to cost MORE than the original shirt once I got the idea to do the Gerard homage later. I thrifted a faux leather skirt literally the day before and we were good! I briefly considered doing cosplay or even trying to integrate part of the cosplay to make it rock concert worthy BUT I didn’t want to do too much since I still didn’t have a confirmed ticket. I ended up seeing a rocker murder night Claudia do just that and she killed it!(IG-Lisbethmars)

Eyeshadows were TVL colors with a nod to Fx’s What We Do in the Shadows with the red tight line and the vampy lip look I saw forever ago by a content creater named Karen the Karrot.

Again I have fangs but didn’t want to do too much.

I had a Drs appointment earlier in the day and knew I wouldn’t be able to stand for a long time on my still healing broken ankle, so I got to the venue around 4. The show started at 6:30, so I figured I still would have a good chance for any in person standby tickets.

Lies you tell.

I was about 50 people in from the front with the 1st couple of folks having arrived at 10AM! Everyone was so nice. The conversation on the line was fun, people were giving out gifts and just seeing everyone’s fits was so cool.

But with the sheer amount of people waiting, I should have cut my losses and hung around the Beacon to try and watch the red carpet or meet any cast/crew meandering around the theatre.

However, my indecisiveness and poor communication from 1iota crew cost me.

Let the 1iota rant commence.

The staff I encountered were beyond friendly and professional but they just weren’t very knowledgeable. I asked multiple staff members where the standby lie was and got pointed opposite directions. Asked multiple staff when the red carpet was going to start and got a bunch of “I thinks” Was told there were no standby tickets to be had at the official ‘unofficial’ line only to be told tickets were being randomly distributed around the theatre. I know some people who got tickets even after I showed up, but those tickets should have gone to the people who were in line since that morning. Completely unfair and only happened because of a lack of communication.

Not to mention 1iota said they would update the online queue as tickets became available.

HAPPEN.

That was the thing I was most frustrated about. If they had, the whole multiple standby lines would not have happened and I would have had realistic hope about getting in. Yall, I was still in the queue AFTER the concert already came and went.

Also, apparently people in GA got turned away too. Can you imagine having a ticket, being turned away because capacity was reached but then learning they were giving away standby to people who didn’t even have a ticket at all. WILD. (As I’m writing I’m getting peeved again and I’m gonna write 1iota an email and encourage yall to do the same.)

One girl even got in from holding a sign asking for a ticket …and not for nothing that idea crossed my mind too but again didn’t do it.

To recap so far (lol) I didn’t get a standby ticket AND didn’t get to see the red carpet, in turn not meeting the cast. There was a fan holding pen that was set up after I left the area and some of the cast stopped for pics and autos. I’m not too bummed about that because the cast I really wanted to meet i.e. Assad, Sheila, Jennifer only briefly stopped and few people met them.

However, in one of my loops around the building I did get to see the pretty princess Jacob arrive tho.

Now this is where it gets good.

I went back to the front of the venue and saw a group of fans around the security. They were still taking tickets even though the show was starting very soon. I thought what would happen if I showed them my 1iota queue screen since they didn’t seem to be paying close attention..

Guys they let me in!

Went through bag check and got stopped by another person. I showed them the same 1iota queue screen and she said, “Oh they let you in with that”. I said yes and sis shrugged and waved me in.

I WAS IN!

I was hoping for bar seating like at MSG but all the bars were outside of the viewing area. I went in, found an empty seat right before the lights went down and thought I was home free. A few minutes in a girl came for her seat. It was pitch black and the seats were stadium seats, so I really couldn’t be wandering around for another empty seat. I should have gone all the way up and sat on the stairs now that I think about it. Less chance of being seen by the staff who were in the main aisles.

Instead I got up and went to the entrance. I was hoping I was good because no staff was there. They soon came and I went to the bathroom.

So many people said I should have hidden out in the bathroom. Maybe I could have heard the concert from there but not the episode which lowkey I was more excited for. Anyway, I couldn’t because there was an attendant in the bathroom.

I went back to the aisle attendant and said I lost my ticket and my phone died, hoping he would just take me to an empty seat. He asked a coworker and they said take me to the box office to check my name against my seat number! My name was very much not on the list.

The jig was up yall! I didn’t want to possibly get arrested if found out!

The attendant followed me and I told him, ‘thanks so much I got it from here’. He left and I slipped out the door. Not before taking a popcorn tho.

I should have taken the gift bag too. Apparently, there were extras floating around.

Looking back, I could have told box office I got in the venue by standby and dropped the ticket but hindsight is 20/20. They might have still kicked me out.

I went back around the back where so many people were waiting at the barricades, I knew again chances were slim of meeting the cast. And I didn’t but we all still made the best of things. I got to hang out with so many cool people, talking about the show, sharing our experiences of the day. Then someone found a live stream. It was so much fun watching the livestream of the very concert taking place feet away from us.

Could we hear anything from inside or the live stream? Absolutely not but it was the VIBES that counted.

Seeing Sam strut across the stage was enough. Everyone was clapping and cheering like we were right in there with everyone else.

Soon the show was over and cast/crew began to leave out. I did manage a side barricade spot but no cast members I knew by name came by our section.

And since the concert had let out, it seemed like everyone inside came our way and hundreds more people lined the streets. The applause for the cast and crew leaving was deafening. I can only image how appreciated they all felt seeing how many people love and support the show in person.

Overall, it sucked that I was sooo close but so far. I do take solace in that I met most of the cast last season and I definitely wasn’t alone in missing out on this experience. Just showing up and connecting with fans was a gift in itself and I look forward to the next time.

The next dayI went to check out the Times Square ad. ReVAMPED the makeup and shirt too.

apparently people have already started getting ticket invites to The Vampire Lestat concert at Beacon Theatre, still in the queue on my end but just a general update
