As someone who ships devil's Minion and Lesmand, this episode nearly killed me. I have been overfed and I'm so sick. Genuinely how I am supposed to go to work in two days.

I do find it annoying that some people seem to think that Lestat's version of the theater box scene is more accurate than Armand's. Now I am NOT saying that Armand's story is 100% accurate (I love the man but he's a lying bitch). But the context in which Lestat is giving this information to Daniel I think Lestat is making Armand come off stupid and desperate on purpose as a way of fucking with Daniel. Right before the flashback Lestat is making fun of the fact that Armand abandoned Daniel and is poking at Daniel to make him upset (Daniel is doing the same thing to Lestat they are just fucking rage baiting each other here). So I think that perhaps Lestat is lying about his and Armand's relationship to make Daniel upset. I think it's more likely that a combo of Armand and Lestat's stories are true or both are just fucking lying (or that their stories happen on different nights)

Because also the people who think Lestat's version is 100% seem to think that it means Lestat and Armand didn't have a romantic relationship. Which (if the show sticks to the books on this one) is not true. Armand and Lestat's relationship throughout the books is fascinating to me because in their own personal narration they will go on and on about how much they love each other but when they are actually together they really can't stand each other which is very funny to me. In the books they do kiss a couple of times (which the vampires in the books don't fuck so kissing / blood drinking often a metaphor for fucking). They do before Lestat leaves Armand in Paris (Gabi is also there): "Then Gabrielle did the totally surprising thing of embracing him and kissing him. And I did the same. He was pliant and gentle and loving in our arms."

Some other book examples of these two being gay as fuck for each other: (Note page numbers are not included for vampire Lestat because my copy is an omnibus so the page numbers are inaccurate to most people's copies)

Anyway anyone who denies them being in love has not read the books or is lying. (To be clear they are not my favorite ship or anything, I mostly find it funny how much they love each other considering how much they also hate each other)

Summary:

"I love you, Daniel," Armand said, attempting to control himself. He wanted Daniel but not now, not here, with his brain fighting him on every word. Each car passing grading on his already worn down nerves, the collar of his jacket touching his neck. He needed to leave but had so much work to do with Daniel, he knew leaving would ruin anything he had done. He gritted his teeth harshly and dug his nails into his palms, finding mild release within the pain of the puncture wounds.
