I’m having a lot of feelings about Derek Hale right now soooooo
Derek only wears that stupid leather jacket because it was his dad’s. He begged and pleaded for a month to borrow it and show it off to his basketball friends at BHH, until finally Papa Hale said “FUCK IT JUST TAKE THE DAMN JACKET”. Derek was still wearing it when him and Laura got called out of class and the assistant principal said “we have some bad news. there’s been a fire at your home.” And now he has to keep it, because he literally has nothing left to remember his family by.
He goes to classes at the local rec center. Web design class? Derek’s there. Pottery day? SIGN HIM UP. How to make a tote bag out of recycled materials? Derek gives his to Melissa McCall for mother’s day. HE JUST LIKES TO KNOW HE’S CREATING SOMETHING OK??? HE DESERVES TO KNOW HE’S DOING SOMETHING WITH HIS OWN TWO HANDS OTHER THAN KILLING EVERYONE HE’S EVER LOVED.

Erica had a pregnancy scare with Boyd, and DEREK BOUGHT HER THE PREGNANCY TEST IN A HEARTBEAT. Derek wrote Stiles a very nice letter of recommendation to NYU (he took some classes while Laura and he lived in NYC and still keeps up with some of the professors). DEREK HALE IS VERY SUPPORTIVE OF HIS PACK!!!!
