Here's my list of the Top 10 TV Witches.  Of course, this is completely subjective.  The list isn't necessarily based on how powerful the witches are.  It also takes into account how much of an effect each character has had on culture.  Click the link above to read my justification for choosing each one. 1. #5: Morgana Pendragon - Merlin

Morgan Le Fay was a powerful evil sorceress in Arthurian legend, and BBC's Merlin breathes new life into the character.  The show manges to humanize her in a way that has not been done before.  This incarnation is the daughter of King Uther Pendragon, but the two share a strained relationship.  Uther despises magic, so this further causes Morgana to hate him when she begins to delve into the art herself.  Morgana ultimately becomes a very powerful sorceress, and she even makes an attempt at stealing the throne of Camelot.  However, Merlin manages to thwart her.

#6: Tara Maclay - Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Although her girlfriend, Willow, usually gets most of the credit, Tara is also a very powerful witch.  Due to her peaceful nature, we never see the true potential of her power.  However, it can be argued that Tara demonstrates an even greater understanding of magic than Willow.  Her pure kindness and selflessness allows Tara to fully control and utilize her magic.  She rarely uses her powers, but that's because she doesn't have to- not because she can't.  That fact alone makes her worthy of this list.
