Celebrimbor after seeing Mairon/Sauron/Annatar interact with Pharazôn: So! You have got yourself a new toy to play with? How long until you break this one?
(Just imagine him ginger)
Annatar: I did something bad.
Me: Shocking.
“I asked chatgpt” “I asked grok” well I asked Annatar, the Lord of Gifts, and he killed me.
The thing about Halbrand vs Annatar for me is that Halbrand seemed human to me while Annatar seem inhuman.
I don't remember what my thoughts on Halbrand was when I first saw the series when it came out, before we knew who is really was. I can't really find anything on my blog either, at least that I have tagged "Halbrand".
Halbrand was definitely someone I could believe had the potential to be good, and could turn out to be a good King (whether or not he actually was the long lost King of the Southlands). I am curious what his fate would have been if he had not turned out to be Mairon/Sauron, and just been some guy that Galadriel decided is the long lost King of the Southlands. Would he still have bee in Eregion with Celebrimbor and Annatar? Or would he have gone back to the Southlands as soon as Annatar came in to the show? Would Annatar have killed him? Or tried to kill him but him getting away? Maybe he would have been the one to take the rings for men with him? Would that be the way that the Race of Men would get the nine?
(Imagine if Annatar still would have been played by Charlie Vickers but no one mentions how the Maia looks very much like the King of the Southlands)
Celebrimbor about Annatar: That boy is corrupt. Get PTSD on the daily. He sure fucked me up.
Me: Sharer of gifts I have a gift for you, just lay your head on this right here.
Celebrimbor: Is that a guillotine?
Me: No, it’s a newly designed bed.
Annatar: Why don’t you show us how to use it then?
Me calling Annatar a liar, liar pants on fire while trying to put his «pants» on fire,
Annatar: You think I, a smith, would wear flammable clothing?
