In my mind Mrs. Arellano is the closest thing That Finn has to a mother after 1975. And Mando is the closest thing Finn has ever had to good father.
(Muffled, from the time-out corner facing the wall)
-so anyways, then they decided to scrap Fredbear's Family Diner and opened a whole new Pizzaria called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, But that went downhill too after the whole thing with the old golden Bonnie suit yk so they had to shut down, and they did try to re-open with new animatronics which was actually FNAF 1 btw FNAF 2 is a prequel, that means the setting is before the first game but it came out after, But anyway then Fazbear's Fright- what's that? Oh yeah face the wall, sorry- Fazbear's Fright opened as a horror attraction based on the original events, but what they didn't know was they had the actual animatronics and their souls couldn't leave the new location, so it ended up burning down not long after it opened, and that was FNAF 3, And in FNAF 4 we jump all the way back to 1983-

Birds of a Feather...
thinking about sodapop who’s terrified of driving recklessly and only does it because that’s the only way he can get his adrenaline hits anymore.
sodapop gets high on life. literally. adrenaline is what keeps him going. it’s the only time he feels truly alive. he gets bored of the same stuff and gets restless doing boring things. so doing something thrilling and maybe a little risky is what ignites a flame inside him. however, in getting bored with the same stuff over and over again, what was one. thrilling becomes…boring. not note worthy. doing backflips off of steve’s truck stops being fun once he starts landing every flip and trick he does. so, he moves on to doing parkour type things—back flipping in public areas. creating disturbances. attention being on him. but eventually, people stop watching, so he gets bored. then he gets into petty crime with two-bit and steve. something about running from the cops and feeling his heart leap into his throat every time he heard sirens made him feel real. but eventually, they’ve picked from every store, graffitied almost every bridge, loitered everywhere they could. and it’s not fun. so where does he get his kicks from now?
he went drag racing with steve for the first time a little while after his parents died. he’d always known what it was about, maybe even watched some races. but they’d never driven in one because they were too young and they were carless. darry wouldn’t let steve touch his ford. no way in hell. and it took steve well over a year to save up enough for his rust bucket car, which he finally got a week or two before soda’s parents accident. steve had offered to drive soda around to clear his head—it helped him when he was upset. and soda was terrified the whole time. he hated being in the car after seeing the photos of his parents’ car. he couldn’t stop seeing that happen to him and steve. but he also got that feeling—that feeling he hadn’t felt in a long time. he felt scared as hell, but he felt alive. he found himself asking steve to go faster, which he happily obliged to. and then they came up with the idea to finally go drag racing like they’d always said they would. they drove like maniacs for hours. and soda had never felt so real.
when he gets his own car, he can do whatever he want. he’s in control for once. well, as in control as you can get on the road. but he can go fast—as fast as he wants. the cops will flag him down, and he finds himself grinning. as crazy as that sounds. he’s stupid on the road, and while his heart is in his throat and his brain is buzzing like a swarm of mosquitoes in the summertime, he feels like he’s going to throw up. his hands are clammy. his eyes are wide. but he can’t stop. he still remembers his first speeding ticket—the way darry looked at him incredulously, like he was asking “seriously? after what happened to our parents?!” but without words. it was the first time in a minute he’d seen darry be genuinely mad at him. and he still finds himself watching darry try to pay off his tickets—his stupidity. and he tells himself he won’t do it again. for his brother’s sake. this time’s the last. for sure. but he can do it one more time, right? just one more. that hit just feels so good. so real. so in control. he can’t stop. his hands are shaking almost every time he’s behind the wheel and he feels sick whenever he backs out of the driveway, but knowing he’s scared makes the adrenaline all the more addicting. he can’t stop.
i dunno—this is kinda incoherent word salad but i’ve been thinking abt this a lot
i wish you were still here
