WIP Wednesday

Hey y'all I have a WIP! It's publishing right now! Not even halfway thru.

7 bite-sized chapters coming directly to you once a day, and we're at two so far. I said this in the note, but a big thank you to @monbons for reminding me that this was mostly written and languishing in my Google Drive. I polished it up and decided to post it--even though it's short--even though it's tropey--even though it could definitely be better, because it's fun and this is supposed to be fun. And thank goodness, it is, in fact, fun. God, I really love writing tiny things.

Under the cut, tags and a snippet from a future chapter that's really too long for a fic that's barely breaking 3000 words, but I want to, so I'm doing it. Hope your Wednesday is going okay!

It’s 15 minutes until the end of my shift when the bell dings over the door. I glance up from where I’m wiping down the milk foamer—I’ve been whipping around expectantly every time the bell dinged for the past hour, but no one needs to know that. It’s called good customer service, you’re welcome. It’s just that it was never Baz coming in the door before so I may have looked a little disappointed at the last dozen customers or so, which is less good customer service. But he’s here now.

Is Simon excited because he's forgiven the egg-breaker? Or excited because he's going to throw eggs at Baz? You'll have to read to find out...

Pretty sure there was an anon that talked about harpy!PC hiding their eggs, so sorry if this is similar.

Harpy!PC who instead of hiding their eggs, puts them in the most annoying spots possible and when LI tries to move them PC gets defensive and starts trying to attack LI like birds do when you step six feet too close to their nest.

Whitney is of course annoyed, most times beating you off with whatever he has on hand. Kinda like hitting a dog on the snoot with a newspaper. He also calls you overdramatic.

Kylar can't be mad with you but it can get annoying when he needs to get to something and you have all these eggs in the way

Robin is honestly so tired of it, why do you have to put them here? You know he has to get over there.

P!Sydney tires to be patient but he has a breaking point like everyone else

Alex gets used to it tbh, it stops bothering him after a while. It just becomes the usual dance of him trying to get something and you getting huffy about your eggs.

Avery fucking hates it and actively tries to get rid of/destroy the eggs

Eden is tired of it but also used to it, it's just annoying but he deals with it. He can easily manhandle you into calming down
