the politicians in the uk are really pissing me off i knew it was bad but we are now reaching entirely new levels of stupidty and insensitivity it was never the victims of grenfell’s fault and blaming those who died is hugely disrespectful to the victims themselves and the families of those who died. when i heard the comments that were said it shows how large the disconnect is between us and them i felt physically sick and disgusted by what jacob rees-mogg had said but his manner in the house of parliament is no better . this is what the older generation has voted for and it is them fucking up our future

Never forget that the elites of britain were complicit in watching more than 70 people burned alive in their own homes.

Never forget that in the inquest into these deaths they sought to blame the person whose appliance started the fire and the fire fighters who risked their lives to save people for having the audacity to assume that the building fulfilled fire regulations.

Never forget that they have denied survivors of the fire the housing that they need having watched their home burn.

Make no mistake - the elite would rather watch this happen again than ensure that there’s adequate fire safety in tower blocks across the country, because the lives of the poor mean nothing to them.

The system is broken.
