a/n: I love febuwhump and have participated before for other fandoms but this is a first for me — attempting to compete it via smau only. y/n_gossip: it seems like little Lando Norris might be thinking of a matador career — he keeps tempting the bulls! After a few close calls with Verstappen, Norris and L/N collided resulting in a DNF for our girl with some pretty harsh words coming from both of their radios afterwards.

Lando: obviously not ideal. You know you never want to be in a collision- especially when it’s not your fault. Y/N…she should spend less time with Max, don’t need her becoming another monster, ya know…

f1gossip: what an interview! During his post race interview for Austria 2024, where he was forced to dnf after two different collisions with both Redbulls, Norris didn’t hold back his thoughts. During this brief moment, he talked about the close friendship between this year’s Redbull drivers — saying that y/n (a rookie) should take a step back from her more senior teammate because no one “[needed] her becoming another monster,”. He also went on to say that he was losing respect for Verstappen and the way he raced.

If adults wanted to act the way they do and not fix things because of issues, that's on them and that's how they want to do things. If anything, things will happen and the adults will eventually need to take care of it. You can't just... Will away problems or issues, especially if its something going on for months in the making.

I've been in a situation where there was more than meets the eye, yet people began choosing sides. I was faced with having to see people who supported me turn against me because of another person and their lies/slander. I lost supporters, friends and relationships. I was sent death threats, comments of hate and even slander. So. Its terrifying. To see this happening.

I'm not trying to compare my issues from before to what's happening over on Twitter, I just wanted to state that I understand somewhat, how both parties may feel? Or at least one of them.

I don't want to see people going after anyone. I don't want you guys to make people 'pick sides' because of what's being said. I don't want anyone to basically, be that person to be like 'oh I knew all along they were a bad person/they are so full of themselves and that there proved it'. Because we truly don't know every piece of the puzzle; all sides of the story. Not entirely. We don't even know them personally.

Again, these are adults. With their own lives and their own issues and problems. Its their choice to handle it properly or poorly. Its not our job to be the judge of everything. Its not on us to call the shots.

If I'm honest, I just don't want anyone attacking anyone on here. I don't want people upset and worried. I want things to be okay here. I want you guys to be okay.

And things will be okay! Just right now, there are issues beyond us that we are sadly having to watch/see unfold. But I promise, things will be okay. Take a break if you need to. Others issues should never be YOUR issue. Take care of yourself.
