Okay hear me out. There are a lot of Watcher focused songs on Grian’s playlist, but among the ones I would put in the ‘Becoming a Watcher’ category, this one has always made me entertain the idea of an initial struggle—if Grian felt fear, or regret, or panic as he became Fully and Wholly Watcher, or if he fought it at all—and wonder what it must have been like, to experience an eldritch transformation of being. The chorus’ creepy/soothing melody and the synth+strings have always felt like a chorus of Watchers gently lulling Grian into a comforting sleep (before he wakes up changed forever).

bright. bright all around him- blinding, scorching, painful.

the air was hot. gods, it was so hot. he felt like his SOUL was on fire- only overshadowed by his inevitable death looming over him.

his fists were clenched into the worn fabric of the shirt he'd been given, lavender eyelights small and flicking desperately around the place. he pushed himself further into the warm walls- the roughness of something akin to concrete providing the comfort that this wasn't just a massive white void. it wasn't never ending. His breath came in quick and short, panic gripping the lower base of his spine, SOUL shaking.

What are stars but teeth, and teeth but stars?

Something about astronauts sacrificing their bodies and minds to come back as strangers knowing a bit more. Something about losing yourself to nothingness and never finding your way out. Perhaps, it's finding yourself a stranger in a body that you used to know. Maybe, about the curiosity that killed the cat, and perhaps the cat died happy and scared. Something, and nothing at all.

I wrote this one in the first session and with no context of session 2.

do you reckon giving birth in space is easier or harder?

well, it depends on if you mean in a spaceship in space, or in the void of space itself. because i'd imagine if one is a human popsicle floating through the void of space it'd be infinitely harder to give birth. However, if one is in a spacecraft I'd be worried the baby would float away and bonk into someone What would even happen if a baby were born in space? Where would they hold citizenship when they got back to earth? What would be the legal and societal repercussions of a space baby? How would space baby affect the world as we know it?
