Augusnippets Day 1: Gaslighting (Path of Hurt)

Context: Jaime, our PoV character, is a young boy of 15, newly sworn to the Kingsguard, an elite corps of 7 knights who protect the King, who, in this case, is a mad pyromaniac. His initial thoughts are parts of the oath of knighthood in his world. Ser Arthur is the man who knighted him, his sword called Dawn.

My entry for Day 1 of @augusnippets ! (Word count: 233)

In the name of the Father, I charge you. to be just. In the name of the Mother, I charge you to defend the innocent.

The man whose sword I had knelt under stands at my side, his eyes as wide as my own, hand fisted into his cloak, Dawn sheathed at his back. Yet, it is I who speak, unable to stop the words, the plea. “My Lord Commander. Surely there is something we can do.” I. have to raise my voice for it to be heard over the maniac laughing of the King, the screaming of the burning man. The somber reminder of what goes on gives me the courage to point out a simple truth. “We are anointed knights, my Lord. We are sworn to defend the innocent”-

The Lord Commander cuts through my protests easily, his deep voice dwarfing mine with ease. “Who decides if the man on trial is innocent and warrants our protection?” Both I and Ser Arthur answer as one, quiet, unable to deny what is a fact. “The King, Ser.” The Lord Commander nods gravely. “The two of you, nay, the seven of us, are no mere knights. We are Kingsguard. You are sworn to obey, Ser, not judge.”

Head bowed in submission, I stand, back to the oaken doors, the screams echoing in my ears. Still as a corpse. Sworn merely to obey, not judge.

Dabi is annoying.

Dabi is aggravating.

Dabi acts like he hasn't grown out of the second grade mentality of being mean to a girl means that you like them.

Dabi picks and prods. Smirks when he hits a nerve, seeing your brows furrow and lips turn into a grown mades him giddy.

Dabi teases, relentlessly. Finding your weaknesses and sore spots to exploit.

Dabi makes you feel bad about yourself. Points out your insecurities like you don't already know that they're there.

Dabi grins when he sees tears form at the corners of your eyes, he coos at you because "I didn't really mean it, Doll."

Dabi calls you a crybaby for taking his words to heart because he knows one day you'll snap. Imagining you finally having enough of his shit and going off on him in one of his biggest fantasies.

Dabi fucks his fist every chance he gets, spewing filth into the air as his rough, calloused hand doesn't do the job in comparison to how yours would feel. "Yeah? You dirty fucking bitch, I've been a bad boy...whattya gonna do? Punish me? Yeah? You gonna give me a taste of my own medicine? Oh fuck...please, please punish me!"

Dabi wears down your confidence, your self imagine, your esteem and manipulates you every chance he gets.

Dabi is a masochistic man-child with the mentality of a twelve year old.

Ronmione Harry Fenrir Bill DOBBY Ok that's alot ily

Boiii okay *cracks knuckles*

Romione - Ron is a stay at home dad, he cooks, cleans, looks after the kids, and enjoys absolutely every second of it. He loves it because Hermione is minister for magic, and he gets to stay away from the pesky journalists. Molly comes around all the time to visit and see the grandkids, she even teaches Ron her most used spells around the house, and a few of her favourite recipes.

Harry - After the war he’s plagued by nightmares. Not like when Voldemort was still alive, these ones aren’t like being possessed. Quick flashing images of the people who died in the war. The original order, his parents, Fred, mad-eye, their faces pop up in his nightmares over and over. They all chant “chosen one” over and over. He doesn’t normally scream or move much, but when he wakes in a cold sweat Ginny is already awake stroking the hair out of his eyes and being the big spoon. They don’t talk, Harry just lets Ginny hold him, he feels safe in her arms. Eventually they both doze off together.

Fenrir - Fenrir had to fight to survive. After his parents died at a young age he was homeless, and an orphan, and he had to find a way to live. He lived on the streets, stealing food at first, just the essentials. Then he started stealing jewellery and selling it. He made enemies, got into fights. Until another werewolf found him one night. Extended his hand, offered him a place in a pack. Where he wouldn’t have to steal to eat or to get by. He got picked on at first by one werewolf in particular, until he ripped the guys throat out with his teeth. Fenrir didn’t have to hold back here. He didn’t care whether the others feared or respected him, they did what he said, when he said it. Then his mentor, the alpha, died. Fenrir naturally took over as alpha, anyone who fought him would be killed, it was stupid to go against him.

Bill - Bill was a talented dueler and brilliant at spells, even before working for Gringotts. Bill and Charlie would always have a scrap as kids, they joined the Hogwarts duelling club together and quickly rose to the top of the scoreboards. Bill has a scar on his left side, at kidney height, from a particularly nasty Ravenclaw. It was a spell of their own making, Bill didn’t know how to counter it and it left him with a deep gash that even Madam Pomfrey struggled to heal completely. The Ravenclaw was kicked out of the duelling club and was given their one and only warning for serious misconduct. One more offence and they were expelled. After that Bill studied all kinds of magic, really learnt about the technical side of it, that’s how he became such an amazing curse breaker.

Dobby - The malfoys used the cruciatus curse on Dobby when he misbehaved in the slightest. If he didn’t follow an order to the letter, he was tortured. If they gave an order that was worded in a way that was open to interpretation, and he got it wrong, he was tortured. Dobby had morals and a good heart, but his mind was hurt and wounded from the abuse. In Chamber of Secrets we see him punish himself for trying to help Harry, because he knew he was going against his masters wishes. He felt he deserved to be punished as a result of the gaslighting and torture at the hands of the Malfoys.

So it seems I have been kicked out of Stars and boulevards when someone else was the problem.

So... Lets put things in some kind of perspective. I have had constant harassment from someone day in day out for the past few days and her excessive control of my character has been more then god modding.  I have has guilt tripping when I have been asleep ( i’m UK based and this person wasn't)  strange thing  was that this particular person seems to have a knack of picking male characters to cling to and then when things dont go her way she then causes a shit ton of grief. She is the ultimate gaslighter and manipulator and sooner rather then later it will become obvious to some if not all within the group. 

I have a whole file which I will be uploading to prove my innocence over this situation and to show this person as the vindictive person she truly is.  Everything about this situation was highly mishandled and I am disappointed at the lack of help I got over this. It also turns out I wasn't the first to be treated in this manner.

His what happened this weekend. 

My character was having real trouble adjusting to the fact he was seeing someone who in all sense and purposes had manipulated him into being in this semi relationship ( I couldn't call it a ship as it was more a case of this person forcing the ship) In my characters bio it states my character has lived alone for a long time. I took that as he is still a little conflicted in the way that he is unsure if he wants to be alone or if he wants to be with someone, Anyway, He has been away for the weekend and is incredibly tired and comes home and tells the lady he is “Dating.” That the date that had on Monday he would like to postpone  till Wednesday. She then throws abuse at him telling him he is mistreating her when she manipulated the whole situation when he had repeatedly told her that he wasn't sure that he wanted a relationship. 

Moving on, The characters have an argument resulting in them no longer talking. Thats the last I thought of it until it became ooc. 

Supposedly several people came to her about the way he was treating her.- can I just clarify, none came to me at all! if they had I would have explained everything with all the chatzy information and files details of proof of this characters forceful behaviour, May I also state at this point, if my character was a female and her character was male this would be classed as harassment, So when pressed in the ooc about people talking about me, this person quickly stops the conversation. funny that.

The character is needy and spiteful and cruel. she gives men a saviour complex and when they don’t fit her criteara she then is hell bent on destroying them, like she did with my character. she god mods and then tries to not only manipulate your character but also tries to manipulate you ooc. which is something that should be stopped, hence the reason i am writing this. She does gaslight, she does manipulate, she does play the victim and cause unnecessary stress for everyone including admin with her constant ooc chat. and if you want to know how it was dealt with? simple. I was kicked out for calling her out. I have had endless drama with this person and I hope to go no one else does because she plays this helpless victim but at the same time is desperate to make things all about her almost making you have a 1x1 when you are trying to keep up with the group. 

she truly is the demi gorgon and I can see now why she is so unliked by some characters. I feel for main admin who will  have to constantly deal with her shit as she will continue to cause issues when she cant get her way. Thankfully she is not my problem anymore.

I never even read those stories that are on my dash and supposed to be all heartbreaking/heartwarming. Every single fucking time, they end in "reblog or you're complete scum!" and I'm not here for that kind of emotional abuse. Tumblr has a gaslighting problem and it's time to put an end to it. For the love of god, stop posting shit like that. And stop reblogging it.
