This is ridiculous. There is absolutely no reason to wish death on someone due to their beliefs, and especially for something as simple as not standing for the national anthem. I know there are people over seas fighting for "our right to say the pledge" but there is no current law saying we have to. Notice the comment that brings up the 20,000 Africanized honey bees that attacked a mosque; the woman who commented that said "God rules :)" but even if God exists, he's supposed to love all- even if they don't follow him. "Throw some beer on it." "It" is a person with feelings and thoughts. I wish someone would disrespect you the same way for wearing a crucifix pendant, that you would her. One man calls her a "savage". Because you're acting sooo civilised? I'm disgusted by the people in my country these days. I'm happy I'm awake to the problems we're facing and the truth that needs to be exposed. I hope my future children don't have to face problems with things like this, because this is ridiculous.

Why is it that there’s so  many racist assholes on a certain facebook driven newspaper comment section*grumble*

Was just reading some responses to an article in a Belgian newspaper. They had the good news that a charity drive for a new mosque had managed to collect a big part of the amount they were trying to achieve. Which I’d think is a nice positive piece about the local Muslim community coming together for something.

But instead of being happy for these people, a lot of assholes decided to come to the comment section for this article, and show just how racist they can be, driving away anyone who might want to say something positive in response. It’s times like these that I wish facebook allowed you to dislike comments as well as like them.

my mother literally supports Trump’s database and making Muslim people wear a symbol of their faith. Just when I thought I couldn’t be more disgusted by her.

People are always blaming the entire Muslim religion for the actions of the extremists.

But if I were to say that white people still benefit from the societal and economic effects of the institution of slavery (which is true), those same people would start throwing fits and claiming that I'm blaming all white people for slavery. That, yeah, my ancestors were taken from their homeland and forced into labor, but it was four hundred years ago. I should just get over it.

I mean I'm just thinking out loud here.
