PLOT TWIST | TASK 01
The flaxen haired male awaited in anticipation for the arrival of his fellow classmates and friends. His footsteps slapped in a consistent pattern onto the pavement as he walked back and forth. Sebastian had been placed in several leadership roles in his lifetime. He had been seventh grade representative, vice president of the student council in middle school, and he was the captain of the swim team for crying out loud! However, this was a leadership position where there was much more at stake than a sparkling trophy or a luxurious school field trip. Like Coach Dawson had said, people were going to get hurt — it was inevitable. One was to expect the unexpected. Taking a deep breath to release the tension that he had been holding in since the announcement, Sebastian continued his routine. Being the leader of this task not only made him responsible for himself but for the people who chose to fight alongside him. They all knew the treacherous consequences of the task — but it wasn't even about them. The tasks were about bringing back those who had fallen. Momentarily shutting his eyes, he recalled the moments he shared with them.
The sound of metal clanging against metal echoed in the locker room. Laughter and conversations surrounded the jovial atmosphere as teenage males haphazardly threw on their clothes and prepared themselves for a well deserved rest. Sebastian leaned against the cool metal of his locker. A cloth towel suddenly blurred his vision as the fabric made contact with his skin. A familiar chuckle escaped the perpretator's lips and Sebastian mock grumbled. Lifting the towel and taking a peek behind the cloth he saw a curly haired freshman. He was grinning mischievously from ear to ear — flaunting a Mickey Mouse shirt and still in his swim trunks. "Landon." Sebastian laughed as he spoke his name out loud; matching Landon's grin with one of his own.
Lifting his cellular phone and reading the pixelated text message, Sebastian couldn't help but smile faintly. Trust Samuel to stay alongside him through thick and thin. Running a hand through his hair and letting out a broken chuckle, his eyes continued to scan the words on screen. A sickly blue yellow glow emitted from his phone as a more genuine smile appeared on his features. He knew what to do — Samuel's text message only confirmed it. Rummaging through his dark hotel room, he hurriedly packed his belongings.
He sat quietly beside Nathaniel — busily flirting away with the beautiful brunette girl who sat across from him. Sebastian twiddled his thumbs for lack of anything better to do. He hadn't found Summer in the crowd of freshmen passing through the halls and, by the looks of it, he wasn't going to anytime soon. So, instead of chosing to sit alone for remainder of his high school years, he had taken Nathaniel's offer up and sat with him. Sebastian wasn't exactly friends with him — it was their first day really — but he seemed like the perfect candidate for a potential friend. Glancing momentarily at the mysterious dark haired boy who sat across from him, he tried recalling his name. It had begun with an H — but he couldn't remember it for the life of him. Suddenly, a clattering of metal forks and spoons was heard. Looking up behind his tousled blonde hair, Sebastian found himself face to face with a fellow newcomer. The boy had to be a freshman, just like him, yet he carried an air of confidence about him. A boyish grin on his features, the boy took the seat next to mysterious H-named boy and laughed. "Shiloh Ross." He stated arrogantly and Sebastian fought the urge to raise his eyebrow at him. Shiloh only chuckled at him and gave him a friendly smile. "You must be the kid all the coaches are talking about."
Shiloh's voice filtered through his thoughts until he no longer walked down memory lane. Opening his eyes and stopping before he made himself a permanent track line on the pavement, Sebastian awaited patiently for the rest of his group to show up.

PLOT TWIST | TASK TWELVE
Bargaining with the Fates and rescuing the souls of the dead
The threads will be used in order to bargain with the Fates and rescue the lost souls of deceased companions.
“The Moirae were the goddesses of fate who personified the inescapable destiny of man. They assigned to every person his or her fate or share in the scheme of things. Their name means "Parts." "Shares" or "Allotted Portions." Moiragetes, the god of fate, was their leader. Klotho, whose name means "Spinner," spinned the thread of life. Lakhesis, whose name means "Apportioner of Lots"--being derived from a word meaning to receive by lot--, measured the thread of life. Atropos (or Aisa), whose name means "She who cannot be turned," cut the thread of life.”
Monsters and difficulties that will be encountered during this task:
Restoring the Underworld – which is currently in chaos. Elpis cast a glimmer of hope onto the souls of the deceased students and it prolonged their descent into the Underworld. However, without Hades and Persephone overlooking the functions of the Underworld, it has fallen to ruin. The souls of Landon, Shiloh, and Samuel would be trapped within the surrounding area and be in the possession of the remaining Fates.
Moirae – “The goddesses of fate who personified the inescapable destiny of man. They assigned to every person his or her fate or share in the scheme of things.”
Orpheus and Eurydice – “The most famous story in which Orpheus figures is that of his wife Eurydice (sometimes referred to as Euridice and also known as Agricope). While walking among her people, the Cicones, in tall grass at her wedding, Eurydice was set upon by a satyr. In her efforts to escape the satyr, Eurydice fell into a nest of vipers and she suffered a fatal bite on her heel. Her body was discovered by Orpheus who, overcome with grief, played such sad and mournful songs that all the nymphs and gods wept. On their advice, Orpheus travelled to the underworld and by his music softened the hearts of Hades and Persephone (he was the only person ever to do so), who agreed to allow Eurydice to return with him to earth on one condition: he should walk in front of her and not look back until they both had reached the upper world. He set off with Eurydice following, and, in his anxiety, as soon as he reached the upper world, he turned to look at her, forgetting that both needed to be in the upper world, and she vanished for the second time, but now forever.”
Bringing the physical bodies of the deceased into the Underworld – returning their souls can only be done in the Underworld
Going into the river of Styx and obtaining their souls
Styx – “The goddess of the underworld river of hate, whose streams encircled the entire realm of the dead. The gods swore their most solemn oaths by her pitch-black waters.”

Must have at least one person with an ability related to the soul
It is suggested to have on person with immortality
Must have at least one person with a cunning mind

PLOT TWIST | TASK ELEVEN

“The Underworld is a region which is thought to be under the surface of the earth in some religions and in mythologies. It could be a place where the souls of the recently departed go, and in some traditions it is identified with Hell or the realm of death.”
Monsters and difficulties that will be encountered during this task:
Cerberus – “Cerberus was the gigantic hound which guarded the gates of Haides. He was posted to prevent ghosts of the dead from leaving the underworld. Kerberos was described as a three-headed dog with a serpent's tail, a mane of snakes, and a lion's claws. Some say he had fifty heads, though this number might have included the heads of his serpentine mane.”
Mormolyceae – “Mormolyceae were fearsome underworld Daimones who lured young men in the guise of beautiful women to their beds to their flesh and blood. Behind the deceiving illusion of a beautiful woman they were truly demonic.”
Akheron – “The god of the underworld river of pain whose brackish stream guarded the borders of Hades. Charon ferried the souls of the dead across his waters.”
Keuthonymos – “A mysterious underworld Daemon. He was the father of Hades cattleman Menoetes.”
Erinyes – “The three goddesses of vengeance and retribution. They were called forth from the underworld to inflict suffering and madness upon the evil-doer, to bring drought and famine to nations, and punish the souls of the damned in Hades.”
Lampades – “Torch-bearing underworld nymphs in the train of the goddess Hecate. They may have guided the spirits of the blessed dead (initiates of the Eleusinian Mysteries) to their final resting place in Elysium.”
Minos – “One of the three Judges of the Dead. He was originally a king of Crete, who was awarded his position in Hades as a reward for the establishment of laws on earth.”
Tartaros – “The primeval god of the dark, stormy pit which lay beneath the foundations of the earth and beneath even the realm of Hades. Tartarus himself was the pit, rather than a man-shaped god. His realm was the prison of the ancient Titan gods, sealed on all sides with walls of bronze, and guarded by the hundred-handed Hekatoncheires.”
