8. What time are you most productive?
That tends to change! I find in the summer and on weekends I feel most productive between 2pm-5pm, but when I’m teaching I’m often quite tired immediately after work and only feel able to write later in the evening, like 7 or 8. But when I’m really into a story and the writing is coming quickly and easily, I can write at just about any time
11. Do you listen to music when writing?
Almost never unless it’s a song I know really well and it can function as white noise if I have it in the background. Otherwise it’s just too distracting and I can’t take it in and write at the same time. Very occasionally I’ll find that a particular song I was listening to anyways goes very well with the mood of a scene I’m writing, in which case I’ll have it playing in the background to function as a score (for example Cherry Wine for the nightmare aftermath in In the Pines), but for the most part I don’t use music
17. Favourite AU to write
Honestly I think my favourite part about writing Mag7 fics IS the western aesthetic haha, and using that whole time period as a playground. But that being said, writing the gang as stylin’ criminals for Chisolm’s 7 was pretty fun haha, and it was a bit of a relief to not have to pause every five seconds to google something like ‘WHEN WERE GUTTERS INVENTED’
