Hi babe! Sorry to annoy you, but what's going on with that random vamp dude? Everyone's posting about him and you seem to know what's going on. I literally don't even know who he is, let alone what he's done, though it's got something to do with sexism? x
Not a problem! so i'm neither a fan of The Vamps or Fifth Harmony but i do like a few of the bands songs. Anyway Bradley from The Vamps dated Lauren from Fifth Harmony but they broke up recently. When asked about it in an interview Tristan from The Vamps said he "had her" from April to December and James from The Vamps said that they all "had a bit of a go" with Lauren and they all(include Brad) laughed about it. Not only were Lauren and Brad together at one point but the bands were good friends with each other. Then Fifth Harmony were posting on twitter about it said things about how they're immature little boys and that the sexism is unbelievable and things like that. I think 5H Handled it pretty well. James later came to twitter and said he meant flirting and that it was misinterpreted and a joke. which isn't true, thats him trying to save his ass. The people defending The Vamps and James himself all used the "its a joke" excuse which is bullshit. Its accepted in our society to disrespect women so long as its in the form of a "joke." Its gross because they do have many female fans who are defending the boys and some even continuing to Slut Shame 5H. However i do want to like thank the Vamps fans that have been defending 5H in this instance because i know it can be hard to call out your faves but its desperately needed. They "joked" about how they traded her like property and that's a vile, vile way to talk about another human being. Especially your friend. Not mention Brad didn't defend her at all, and just went ahead and laughed along with his friends. Hope this explained it well, if anyone has anything to add please feel free to :-)
