A/N: So, this story is brought to you by the many, many, many pictures I've seen of Fives with a y-incision. Also, I played around with wraiths a little bit. Because I wanted to.
In the months that Fives has been living on your ship with you, you’ve come to learn a few things about him.
A, he’s something of a perfectionist. You’re much more of a “good enough” type of person, especially when planning jobs, but he gets all bent out of shape if you don’t have a whole plan from infiltration to escape.
Ironically, he doesn’t seem to have a problem with improvising if the plan goes wrong, which is more confusing to you than you’d like to admit.
B, he’s messy. Since he was a soldier, you thought he would be a neat freak. But he’s not. He’s careful about ensuring his mess doesn’t get in your way, but you’ll find his datapads and models strewn around your ship rather than consolidated in a single place.
C, he’s clingy.
Look, your ship is small. Tiny. Built for one person and an astromech, maybe. It’s certainly not built for an adult man who is built like a brick wall and another person (namely yourself).
So you quickly sussed out that you and Fives were going to have to share a bed. It was a little weird, that first night. You’ve never shared a bed with anyone before, after all.
But the following morning you woke up with him curled around you, his arms tight around your waist. Like a giant, clingy blanket. And, despite what you said to him that morning, about him being clingy, you’ve grown to enjoy it.
Your family isn’t really the “touchy” type, and Fives curling around you every night is the closest you’ve had to a hug since you were a child.
Which…is depressing, if you think about it too hard.
So, you don’t.
There are other things you’ve noticed about Fives, things that you make note of in your tablet, but would never mention to him. He has moments of extreme violence, never directed towards you, but towards other people.
He’s fiercely protective of you, to the point of murder.
And he’s afraid.
He’s so, so afraid of finding out what the Kaminoans did to him.
You rest your chin on the palm of your hand and watch Fives move around the kitchenette with an absent sort of interest. He’s always hungry, Fives. Most of your money is spent on making sure there’s enough food on the ship for him.
“You’re staring,” Fives notes as he sits at the bar across from you.
You shrug, unconcerned, “I’m thinking.”
“Oh, is that why I was smelling smoke?” He teases something unnatural and inhuman glittering in his eyes. It should scare you. It should. But this is Fives.
How could you be afraid of Fives?
“You know me,” You joke back, “My brain is just three tookas on a treadmill—”
He grins at you, a lopsided smile that’s actually insanely attractive. It’s really not fair. How dare the Kaminoans choose Jango Fett as a template and not some ugly bounty hunter?
Wait…you’re getting distracted.
It takes you a moment to put your train of thought back on track, “I’m thinking,” You say as you point your ration bar at Fives, “We should hit up Jedha.”
He pauses, his spoon halfway to his mouth, “Why?”
“They have a collection of weird shit. Maybe they know what’s going on with you.”
Fives lowers his spoon back to his bowl and taps the rim of his bowl thoughtfully, “Are you sure you want to steal from Jedha?”
“Steal?” You press your hand to your chest in mock offense, “Fives! I do not steal! I merely…borrow things.”
He points his spoon at you, “And tell me, moonbeam. Have you ever returned anything you’ve borrowed before.”
“I returned your shirt!”
“Yeah. Because we live together. And you kept the sweatshirt.”
“I look amazing in your clothes.”
“You’re a twi’lek, you’d look amazing in a paper bag.”
You point at him, “That is a harmful stereotype.”
“Uh-huh,” He actually takes a bite of his oatmeal, “Remind me, what did you do for a living before you decided to become a thief?”
“I am a recovery expert—”
He raises a single brow and you huff and cross your arms, “I may have, possibly, been an exotic dancer. At a club that only hired twi’leks.”
“Thank you for making my point for me.”
You narrow your eyes at him, “Anyway. I think Jedha will have some of the information we need. Or, if nothing else, they can point us in the right direction.”
“I thought you decided that I’m a zombie.” Fives asks.
“Well, I thought so. But I’ve been doing some research online—”
“Oh boy.”
You glare at him, “I’ve been doing research,” You repeat, “And aside from a, truely concerning, number of people who would be okay with fucking a zombie, I have determined that you can’t be a zombie. Because you’re too smart.”
“Can we rewind to the point where people want to fuck zombies?”
“No. We can’t.”
“Come on, moonbeam,” He grins at you, “What did you see?”
This time, you pout at him, “Shut the kriff up and eat your shitty ration bar.”
“I’m eating oatmeal,” He counters smugly.
You reach across the table to steal his bowl, only for him to smack your hand with his spoon, “Rude!”
“Make your own oatmeal! I’m not sharing.”
“I let you sleep in my bed!”
“Our bed Moonbeam.” He wraps an arm around his bowl protectively, “Anyway, you were saying about Jedha.”
You mournfully eye the ration bar in your hand, and then shove it to the side, “I think you’re a spirit of some kind.”
“I’m solid.”
“I don’t know, Fives. This is why we need help!”
He watches you steadily for a moment, and then shrugs lazily, “Alright. We go to Jedha. You want to go set the heading?”
“Yeah, yeah.” You spin on the chair and hop to your feet to head to the cockpit. Then you pause and step around the bar to wrap your arms around Fives from behind. You rest your chin on his shoulder for a moment, “We’ll figure it out, Fives. I promise.”
You see a small smile out of the corner of your eye, and his hand lightly presses against your cheek. I know. I trust you. You’ll figure this out. His touch seems to say, and you tighten your arms around him for a moment, before you release him.
“Right. Jedha! Hopefully, the Empire hasn’t destroyed it yet. Or, if they did, they didn’t destroy the information.” You mumble to yourself as you leave the room.
Fives scowls as he looks around Jedha. They’re too late.
Nothing is left standing.
He glances at his moonbeam and feels the stirring of rage at the look on her face. She looks crushed.
He swallows the rage with difficulty, there’s no one here to lash out at. There’s no Empire here. No pirates. No Cartels. Just him and his moonbeam. A gentle breeze washes the scent of her over him, and it helps quell his anger enough that he’s able to speak.
“There might still be something left.” He offers.
She turns to look at him, her wide eyes glassy with tears, “How can you say that? There’s nothing left!” She gestures to what was once a bustling city at the foot of the temple. “They…destroyed everything.”
He’s going to kill the Emperor. And all of the Admirals. And probably everyone who’s ever worn an Imperial uniform.
How dare they make her cry.
Fives takes a deep breath and lightly sets his hand on her shoulder, “Don’t give up hope yet. We haven’t actually looked yet, have we?”
She sniffles and wipes her eyes, “Do you really think we’ll find something.”
“Well, if we don’t then all we lost is time.” Fives replies logically. He smiles at her when she turns to look at him, and gently adjusts her headwrap, pulling it down over her earcones.
A tiny smile lifts her lips, and she presses her hands over his, “I suppose there’s no harm in looking.” She murmurs, she scans his face for a moment and then a small furrow appears on her brow, “I upset you. I’m sorry.”
He shakes his head, “Not your fault. I’m controlling it.” One of his hands falls so the backs of his fingers brush her cheek. “I suppose this ruins the plan we made.” He gestures to the ruins.
“Well…makes it moot, I suppose.” She replies as she tears her gaze from his face to scan the former city. “...do you think anyone got out alive?”
“I’m sure they did.” He lightly squeezes her shoulder one more time, “It looks like there’s a path through the ruins, shall we?”
“After you,”
He flashes a small smile and starts down the steps with his moonbeam hot on his heels.
It takes time for them to work their way through the ruins. They have to backtrack several times after stumbling over roadblocks that Fives determines are too unsafe to climb over.
Eventually, they make it to the former temple.
There are several openings and Fives checks all of them, before bringing her to one in the back, “According to the schematics, the archives used to be on this side of the temple.” He explains, “This opening should be the easiest way to get there.”
“Alright. Are you going first or do you want me to?” She asks.
Fives shoots her a look, “When have I ever let you go first?”
“Never, but there’s a first time for everything.” She grins at him, and he shakes his head before he smooths his hand over her head.
“I’ll go first, you can come after me when I tell you it’s safe.”
And that’s exactly what happens, Fives lowers himself down on the rope and makes sure that the area is safe, before shouting up that she can join him.
She descends the rope much faster than him. But then, his moonbeam is a thief, so she knows ropes a little better than he does. Fives makes sure that she’s secure on her feet before he looks around.
The Temple really is little more than a ruin.
Honestly, he doesn’t expect to find anything useful here, but he has to look. If only to keep her from feeling guilty.
“Alright. So the Archives were that way,” Fives nods at a collapsed hallway, “But I think if we go this way we’ll be able to find a way around.”
“Sounds like a plan,” She replies as she steps towards the opening in the wall that Fives indicated.
He stops her with a hand on her chest, “Why don’t I go first, see what I can see. Make sure that there’s actually a way through before we start poking around.”
“I can help, Fives.”
He chuckles and lightly kisses her forehead, “I know you can. But I’d like you to stay here. Maybe make a map?”
She blinks, “Oh! That’s a great idea!”
“I’m full of them.” He counters with a grin.
“You’re full of something, alright.” Fives’ grin widens. The fact that she’s sassing him means she’s slowly getting over seeing the aftermath of the massacre.
Good.
He hates it when she’s sad.
It should be illegal.
Fives waits until she pulls her headset out of her pocket and slips it under her head wrap, and he doesn’t move until he hears the familiar crackle of her comm coming to life in his ear.
“Alright, moonbeam. I’ll call out directions as I move.”
“And I’ll mark them on my tablet.” She finishes with an agreeable nod as she sits on a rock, “Just be careful. Just because nothing has killed you yet, doesn’t mean nothing will.”
“I’ll be careful. I promise.”
An hour later, his moonbeam’s comm crackles to life, “—Who are you?” And Fives’ blood runs cold.
He never considered that someone else might still be in the temple. He never considered it, so he didn’t look.
“Wait, what are you…Hey!” There’s a sharp squealing noise of her comm being destroyed.
And that’s the last thing that Fives remembers.
You try to back away from the men that are slowly circling you.
Try being the keyword here, as there are five of them and only one of you and they have you completely surrounded.
“Who are you?” One of them, the leader most likely, demands as he aims his blaster at you.
“Who are you?” You counter, pulling bravery from…somewhere.
“I asked you first.”
“I was here first.”
“Do you always talk back to people pointing blasters at you?” Another man asks.
“Yeah, Pretty much.” You swallow hard. Fives is coming. You know it. Maybe if you get these men to leave you won’t have to witness the massacre that is Fives lost in a rage. “You should probably go.”
“Is that right?” One of the men, holding a snipe rifle (which seems excessive to you) asks sarcastically.
“My partner—”
“So you are not alone.”
Fuck.
Kriff.
“It’s fine.” The last man says, “We still outnumber them.”
“True.” The first man stares at you through his helmet, “Wrecker, tie her up.”
“Got it, Hunter.”
Wait.
Wait, wait, wait.
Wrecker? Hunter? Those are clone names.
That or really bad call signs.
“...you’re clones?” You yelp as you take a step back.
The men pause, and then helmets come off and they move so that you can see them properly.
“We might be clones,” One of the men, paler than the others with cybernetics on his head, says coldly, “But you’re a graverobber.”
You ignore his words, staring instead at the handprint on his chest plate. “You’re Echo.” You say numbly.
He falters, “How can you possibly know that?”
“Oh Force, you’re Echo.” You whisper. “You! You have to put the weapons down! You have to!”
“Why should we do that?”
“Fives is going to kill you.” You say bluntly. Matter of factly.
Echo’s face twists, “My brother is dead.”
“Yeah, he got better.” He doesn’t believe you, and slowly you take a step away from him when you hear, what sounds like, wailing. Goosebumps rise on your skin, and your lekku twist in discomfort. They can’t hear him.
They won’t hear him until it’s too late.
And Fives—
Dear Fives. Sweet Fives. Kind Fives.
He’ll never forgive himself if he kills his brothers.
And so, when the wall bursts open revealing Fives in a deadly rage, his form constrained by his armor, you know what you have to do.
He lunges at Echo, who is closest to you, and is the most obvious threat towards you. And you lunge forward as well, placing yourself between Echo and Fives.
“Fives! STOP!” You shout, spreading your arms wide to shield Echo as best as you can.
He can’t hear you. You know he can’t hear you.
But you have to try.
A strong hand wraps around your throat, and Fives slams you to the ground as if you weigh nothing. Pain blooms across your back and the back of your head.
Something sharp pierces both of your shoulders, and you bite your tongue to stifle your scream of pain. Though there’s no stopping the pained tears rolling down your face.
You’ve always been a baby about pain, it’s fine.
Slowly, painfully, you reach up and pull Fives’ helmet off, allowing it to fall to the side. His eyes are blank, there’s no recognition in his gaze, and his teeth have grown to the fangs that always appear when he gets like this.
“Fives,” You speak his name calmly and clearly as you reach up and gently press your hands against his icy cheeks, “Fives. It’s just me. It’s just your moonbeam.”
Slowly the wailing subsides to a level that doesn’t make you want to claw your ear cones off, but his hand is still around your neck, and your vision is starting to spot.
“Fives,” You repeat his name, “You need to let go.”
His grip tightens, and you gasp for breath. It’s getting hard to stay conscious.
“Fives,” You rasp his name, “Safe. No danger.” Your hands are still pressed against his face, but you’re starting to lose consciousness. Force, you hope he doesn’t kill you. That will destroy him.
Just as you’re about to pass out from lack of oxygen, his grip around your throat loosens and you start coughing. There’s sharp pain as the nails in your shoulders retract, and Fives collapses on you, unconscious and human again.
You wrap your shaky arms around him, “It’s okay. You’re okay. We’re okay.”
“What the fuck?”
Suddenly you’re reminded that you’re not alone, and you blink, hazily, up at Echo. A stricken, horrified, looking Echo. “It’s fine.” You say, “Everything’s fine.”
It’s a lie. A horrible, awful lie.
But you have to believe it.
You have to.
Fives wakes up slowly.
His head hurts, his entire body hurts.
It takes a moment for him to remember that someone was threatening his moonbeam and his eyes snap open.
He’s about to sit up when a gentle hand cards through his hair, “Easy there, Fives.”
He blinks at her, twice, and then looks around. They’re on the ship?
“I thought…what happened to Jedha?”
“We’re still on Jedha, just back on the ship.” She says smoothly, though her voice sounds rough. She’s wearing one of her sweaters, though the shoulders look bulkier than normal.
He sits up, slowly wincing in pain. “What happened?”
She opens her mouth to say something and then hesitates. “Nothing important.” She finally says, and Fives knows that she’s lying to him.
Memories flash in front of his eyes, faster than he can keep track of.
But he sees her, tears streaming down her face, his hand around her throat. His name, calm and collected, falling from her lips.
He reaches out with a shaking hand to lightly grab the collar of her sweater, and he tugs it down.
There, stark on her pale blue skin, wrapped around her throat is a hand-shaped bruise.
His hand.
“What did I do?”
“It was an accident.” She says lightly taking his hand in hers and allowing the material of her sweater to hide the injuries from him, “It was an accident and it wasn’t your fault.”
“I tried to kill you.”
“It was an accident,” She repeats.
“What else did I do?” He demands, “Tell me.”
“I have a few…minor stab wounds.” She says with a sigh.
“Minor? Or all the way through.”
“It’s not you’re fault.” She repeats, “Not any more than any other time. You can’t help what you are.”
“A monster?”
She moves so she’s sitting on the edge of the bed, her hands moving to cup his face, “Fives, I’ve never thought that.”
“You should.”
She sighs and gently strokes his cheeks, “With help from my new friends, we managed to get into the archives, and I found a lead.”
He stares at her, “A lead?” Fives repeats, feeling as numb now as he did the day he woke up on Kamino.
“I think you’re a Wraith. Or a Wraith adjacent.” She explains, “We have to go to Zakuul to learn more.”
“Zakuul.” He feels like Echo, repeating everything that she’s saying. “You should leave me here. Where you’ll be safe.”
“No.” Her answer is immediate, “No. Fives, I’m not afraid of you.” She smiles at him and brushes a curl from his forehead, “You make me feel safe.”
“You really shouldn’t.”
She sighs and leans in to press her forehead against his, “If it helps, someone else will be traveling with us from now on.”
His gaze snaps to hers, and he feels the stirring of jealous possession burning in his gut.
“Don’t be like that,” She chides lightly, “You’ll like this one.”
“I doubt that.”
“I’m hurt, vod.” Fives jolts at the familiar voice and turns his gaze towards the doorway, where Echo is leaning against the frame. He has a small smile on his lips, though there’s something sad in his gaze.
“Echo?”
“Rex told me you died.”
“I saw you die.” Fives counters.
“Yeah well, looks like we both got better.” Echo jokes lightly, “I’m going to be hanging out with you two for a bit.”
“That’s…” Fives pauses, “Because I tried to kill her.”
“It was an accident.” She repeats, and Fives is sure that she’s going to say that a lot in the coming days.
“Because you’re my twin and something is wrong.” Echo walks over and lightly rubs Fives’ head, “Come on, did you think I wouldn’t help my little brother?”
“We were decanted at the same time.”
“And yet, Rex says I’m older.” Echo grins, “Now, baby brother,” He ignores Fives’ glare as if it’s not even there, “You need to rest.”
“Me? I’m fine.”
“Fives,” His moonbeam says his name in a sigh, and Fives frowns at her.
“I’m fine! You’re hurt.”
“You both need rest,” Echo announces, “I am going to do some research on where this Zakuul place is, and then we’re going to comm Rex for a bigger ship—”
“What’s wrong with this one?”
“It’s too small for three people. Hell, it’s too small for two people, and I refuse to share with the pair of you.” Echo says bluntly, “Anyway. You two rest, and I’ll handle everything for a bit.”
And then Echo is gone, allowing the door to snap shut behind him.
The bedroom is silent for a moment, and then Fives jolts when his moonbeam crawls over him and squishes herself between the bulkhead and himself, “There, now we can rest.”
“...you really don’t hate me?”
She releases an explosive sigh and pulls him down so she’s able to wrap herself around him, her head tucking under his chin, “How could I hate you? You’re Fives.”
And somehow, without her saying it, Fives hears exactly what she means.

Twi’lek’s had such a bad rep in the galaxy and you had to deal with that stereotype that all you were was a whore that leeched off others to make money. So you joined the republic GAR as a trained field medic. You were originally living on ryloth, and you had seen first hand how the republic clones saved your planet and your livelihood.
You worked closely with Cham Syndulla and his wife, and when you had told them that you wanted to join the republic as a medic, they were sad to see you go but understood that your extraordinary talents in field medicine could be a big help to many men who risked their life.
It took about a year for you to take all the tests and get all your qualifications in order, and it was especially hard because of your classmates and teachers who really held up the bad stereotypes against you. But you eventually got in and already you had proved just how good of a medic and doctor you were.
You bounced from battalion to battalion before you found a permanent home with the 501st, at least for a while anyway, and you alongside another clone who was also a medic oversaw a lot of men’s injuries and lively hoods. But because of you the death rate was at an all time low, while also having huge successes too.
To many others clones were expendable, but not to you. You showed these men your thoughts every day and within the next year you were as much as a sister to them as they were to you… especially Captain Rex… however he treated you with a gentleness that contradicted the way he pushed your battle boundaries, knowing that you were capable of so much more than just medicine…
He also cared for you in a way nobody had, not even the other clones you were with. He didn’t treat you like a sister, but you couldn’t pinpoint why… or what he was thinking necessarily.
You and the 501st were stationed on Kamino for a short rest and a supply stock up. You walked the long hallways with Jesse and Fives bickering behind you, acting almost like a personal guard.
The men you worked with may have been extraordinarily kind you you, but many clones were not, especially a lot of the first gen clones with the more… harsher generals. They gave you nasty looks, or some even catcalled you. One time a while ago you were walking alone to get medical supplies and stalk up on Bacta when a clone had backed you up into a corner and tried to do some… nasty things to you.
However Rex came to the rescue that day, and ordered his men to take turns accompanying you to stock up. And they did without question. You were grateful, but you could handle yourself and Rex knew that.
Like another time for instance, again on Kamino you were all in the mess hall eating, when a group of frat clones came up to you and started saying some pretty snide things. You didn't react at first, but when they joked about the kids on ryloth being raised as little whores you kind of snapped, spinning around with your meal tray as you smacked the main clone right in the head, knocking him out before you threw a couple punches at the others before getting held back by Fives, who was laughing his ass off.
You tried not to let these things affect you, but some days just took their toll…
Currently you were on coruscant with Captain Rex, General Skywalker and Commander Tano, who was always the kindest towards you, and you often did a lot of things together during your spare time and breaks, like painting each others nails or doing each others makeup amongst other things, she also started training you in self defense and melee combat with a knife, which would come in handy now that you got promoted to the frontlines.
As you were passing through the barracks you heard some teasing voices coming from the main cots and bunks, it was a big room and you often hung out there with Fives or Tup or Jessie. As you approached the door you started hearing their voices a bit clearer, and what Fives said next had your heart pumping as you moved your lekku to rest on your chest instead of your back.
“It’s so obvious that Rex has feelings for her, you all see these small touches on her lower back, or the hand squeezes he gives her after every mission brief. Or even when he hears her shouting orders to you Kix, we see his eyes searching for her just to make sure that she's okay!” Fives exclaimed, earning agreeable hums from the other clones.
“But does Y/n feel the same about him?” Jessie’s voice piped up, and you shifted slightly to see into the bunks through a crack in the door, seeing now who was seeing, but you could distinguish their voices now, they all had different tones or ways of speaking. You found it endearing…
Regardless you moved in closer, resting your hand on the handle while your other rested on the frame.
“Of course she loves him back, she has too with the way her cheeks flush every time he touches her. Every time she cups her hand over her mouth when he says something in that commanding tone he brings up when giving orders.” fives rebutted, crossing his arms over his chest.
You flushed at that statement. ‘Do I really do that?’ you thought to yourself, glancing around before continuing to listen. “Okay, then what do we have to do to get them to confess? lock them in a closet? in Rex’s office?” Kix asked.
However before they could continue planning you felt a presence behind you, quickly noticing it was Rex who was giving you a curious look, you squealed loudly, losing your grip on the door as it slammed open and you fell forward. You expected to hit the ground but you didn’t, and instead you felt a warm, strong arm wrapped around your waist.
You had your eyes squeezed shut, but slowly you opened one, keeping the other shut still as you looked at Rex, who’s face seemed flushed as he looked at you. You quickly relaxed, placing your hands on his armored shulders as he helped you up. You cleared your throat, placing a hand over your mouth as you glanced back at the others who all had smirks on their faces.
You glared at Fives, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at them, hearing them all laugh in response, but they made no motion to leave. You turned to Rex again, seeing him all flushed still. asked softly, seeing his hands tighten into fists for a moment as you used his title, not noticing how he shivered slightly. His brothers however, noticed right away and within seconds they had cleared out of the room.
You gently grabbed Rex’s hand and led him to one of the cots, pushing him to sit as you looked at his hands. “Are you okay Captain? You're not hurt are you?” You asked, standing between his legs as you grabbed your data pad and gave him a quick scan, picking up that his heart rate was faster than normal, and his face was abnormally hot.
Fives, Jessie and Kix were now the ones eavesdropping, but you didn’t notice, more focused on Rex.
His Adam's apple bobbed up and down as he stared at you, all fidgety. “Captain?”
“Y-yeah- I mean! no! no… im- im fine just… I need to talk to you- to tell you something.” He muttered to you, grabbing the data pad out of your hands, setting it down beside him as he then grabbed your hands, holding them gently.
“Okay Captain… whatever you need to tell me you can, i won't judge.” You said softly, still standing between his legs. He gulped again, glancing over at Fives who gave him a thumbs up. rex sucked in a deep breath, remembering the words that Anakin had told him.
“Don't be afraid when telling her how you feel, beating around the bush will just make it worse. Just tell her. The worst she can say is no.”
Rex stared at you, pursing his lips before finally speaking. “Will you go on a date with me? before we have to leave for another mission. General Sk- Anakin gave me some credits, and I want to take you somewhere nice… so…” Rex trailed off, looking away from you after seeing your shocked face.
So fives was right, Rex did have feelings for you…
You gently reached forward resting your hand against his cheek, turning his face towards yours as you leaned into him slightly. “I’d love to.”You whispered, pressing a kiss to his browline, rubbing his cheek bone with your thumb before you pulled away. Just then the clones who were all listening, which was a lot more than you thought, all burst into the room and cheered. Rex stood up and smiled down at you, before embracing you tightly.
Fives came up behind you and he gripped your shoulders, shaking you gently before high fiving Jessie, who grinned at you and Rex. “It's about time, we’ve been trying to get you both together for a year now! I guess I owe General Skywalker some credits, he did bet that he'd get you to say something first.” Fives joked, and you and Rex both sent him a look.
You turned to Rex, smiling brightly. “Pick me up at eight” You whispered, pulling away before turning to Fives. “And as for you, you shouldn’t be meddling into people's love lives.” You scolded, but he simply shrugged and walked off to go pay up to the general.
You had left after some more sweet words exchanged between you and Rex, making your way back to your quarters where you commed Ahsoka, and told her the good news. She was quick to come to your place of living in the barracks, and she had also brought over a bunch of dresses that Padme sent her with, since she was with Padme when you told the girl the good news, and then offered up some dresses.
So for a couple hours you and Ahsoka messed around and did little fashion shows for each other with the dresses, until you finally found a dress that complimented your skin tone, showed some skin to entice but covered just enough to leave the mind wandering. The dress had two slits in the front, revealing both legs while having a detailed and gold embroidered cloth hang between the legs. The back of the dress dipped into a low V shape, stopping right above your tailbone.
It was designed in a way where the fabric climbed up your neck, a strap that connected at the back of your neck, looking almost like a choker but connected to the dress. The middle part of the top was a window, which is where your cleavage was visible, and the window was a north star shaped one, which tied into the other starry and moon beads that decorated the bodice and then scattered around the skirt, the beading getting scarce the lower it got.
There was a metal chain that also rested around your lower waist, with matching stars and moons. You put on some long dangly earrings, a chain that trailed down and then dropped into a crescent moon. All the accessories were gold to match the embroidery… and Finally you had the lekku jewelry and headwear. You had removed the fabric and goggles that rested on your head, and replaced it with a starry chain headdress that circled around your lekku, it wasn't stiff, but the chain shaped perfectly and allowed for the freedom of movement.
when you finally stepped out to show Ahsoka she gasped, her eyes going wide. Padme also had shown up and she smiled brightly when seeing you. “Oh wow, your stunning sweetheart- Rex won't be able to take his eyes off of you.” Padme said softly, Ahsoka’s giggles following after. “I hope not…” You trailed off, and Padme noticed the hesitation. “But?” She asked, hearing you sigh.
“I'm worried about the stereotype around Twi’leks and being.. well… sluts… will follow me and Rex tonight and I really don't want anyone to ruin our time.” You spoke honestly, seeing Padme frown… until an idea popped in her head and she pulled what seemed to be a simplistic holster, she then handed it to you, followed by a small, silver blaster.
“Take this with you, and make sure it's visible… and it should warrant off any attention. and if not? Rex is there right? He will defend you.” She said, and you offered her a grateful smile before strapping the blaster to your upper thigh, making sure it was still visible.
“Thank you girls.” You said softly, breaking out of your thoughts when you heard a knock at your door. You sucked in a deep breath and stood there while Ahsoka got to the door, grinning when she saw Rex in a neat suit, thanks to Anakin probably. “Who knew you could clean up?” SHe joked, and Rex rolled his eyes before stepping in. He did a quick scan of your quarters, the republic did nice with this space in the barracks for you, and of course it was personalized to your tastes too…
But when Rex’s eyes landed on your figure, they were blown wide and his lips parted as his jaw dropped. You had one of your lekky loosely around your neck while the other one hung backward. You took a step forward, your heels clicking against the floor which snapped Rex out of his thoughts. He shook his head, reaching out to grab your hand. “your…” he trailed off, speechless.
You giggled, nodding to Padme and Ahsoka for the help they gave before leading him out of the room. “Thank you” You spoke softly, understanding what he was trying to say. At least you hoped that he was trying to say that you were beautiful, and he nodded in confirmation, squeezing your hand as he took a hold of it. But instead of letting go like he usually did, he kept a hold on your hand.
“So where are we going?” you asked him as you walked down the Barrack halls together, seeing Fives and the other 501st members cheer and whistle at you both. You knew that these kinds of whistles were not derogatory, but supportive. These men- Rex’s brothers were calling you gorgeous, and Rex handsome, knowing now that he could actually dress up.
“Well… it's a surprise. The general hooked me up with a good spot on Coruscant, not too busy, but romantic.” He answered, and waiting outside the Barracks was a nice black speeder, with a droid chauffeur waiting for you both.
You blushed and grinned at the effort that Rex had put into this date, and he helped you into the speeder before climbing in after you. Immediately your hands intertwined and you shifted closer to him, leaning into his warmth as the Lekku that was hanging behind you then shifted and slightly wrapped around his arm as well.
He smiled down at you, hesitating for only a second before he placed a kiss on your temple.
The night went by fanominaly, no snide comments from other clones or strangers, you didn’t even need to flash the blaster that Padme had given you. You spent hours talking and laughing with Rex, telling him all about your explodes as a child, and how when the Ryloth rebellion started, you were the first teenager to offer up arms and resources to Cham Syndulla from your fathers farm, and when you were old enough you joined as quick as you could.
Rex told you what it was like when he was a child, a cadet, even if it didn’t last long because of his accelerated growth. Regardless, after eating and a couple drinks, you and Rex were stumbling back into your quarters. You couldn’t keep your hands off of each other, somehow managing to lock the door, only for Rex to pick you up with ease as your lips slammed into each other.
You whispered the directions to your bedroom and he took you there right away, using one hand to keep you up in the air while the other unclipped all the little accessories, letting the belt fall, followed by the little clasp that held your dress together on your neck.
Rex then shifted his kisses down your cheek and jaw before moving to the exposed nape of your neck, sitting you down on your bed finally as he pushed you back, his hands sliding up your exposed thighs before he removed them and instead tugged at the fabric on your hip.
A soft grunt escaped your lips and you lifted your hips, allowing Rex the quick motion of sliding the dress down before quickly pulling it down your legs, tossing it to the floor. He oushed back a bit, letting his eyes wander as he took in your full nude form.
Your cheeks heated up significantly and you moved to cover your breasts, but Rex quickly grabbed your wrists and instead pinned them to your sides, and continued his trail of kisses down your clavicle, past your breasts and then down the center of your torso. pausing right below your belly button before he rose to his feet.
He stared right into your eyes as he removed his suit jacket, loosening the tie which he then brought to your wrists, he paused, looking into your eyes, “Yes… go ahead.” You whispered, and without a word he tied your wrists together above your head, tying it to the bed frame as you shifted your positions to be more comfortable, now laying in the center of your bed with your head resting on your pillows, yout lekku on either side of our arms, curling around them slightly.
He quickly removed the rest of his clothing, and when he finally removed his underwear your jaw dropped, and your legs parted slightly in response. He was… blessed. That's the only word you could really think of that suited him. He was thick, and the perfect length. His tip was flushed, and already leaking pre-cum which told you all you needed to know about him wanting you.
There you both stood, silent as the night as you admired each other. Just then you reached out with your foot, hooking it behind his back, pulling him forward and onto the bed… on top of you. You tugged at the restraints, remembering that they were there with a huff. however you quickly wrapped your legs around his waist, leaning up to press a chaste kiss against his lips before laying back again.
Rex quickly chased it, letting his hands rest comfortably in the dip of your waist. you then raised your lekku, using them like you would use your hand, and you used the tip to brush against his jaw. A shiver went down your spine, one that he quickly noticed.
“Are they… sensitive?” He asked, sliding his hands down to your thighs as he adjusted you so you slotted against him, him in a kneeling position with your legs resting on his hips, his cock nestled between your cunt, which let a hot sensation course through your belly. You nodded to his question after a moment.
“Yes, very… but you can touch them… stroking lekku its- its reserved for intimate times, and can be touched by lovers… so… I want you to touch them, like you're touching me.” You whispered, seeing burning desire creeping up in his beautiful auburn eyes.
Rex then slid his hand up, cupping your cheek for a moment before he gently cupped the base of your lekku, which already sent a shiver down your spine, however when he started moving his hand down you couldn’t help the soft whiny moan that tumbled from your lips at his action. He paused for a moment but you could feel how his cock throbbed against you, and you whined at the feeling.
“Release my hands.” You whispered to him, and he nodded, setting your hands free which immediately wrapped around his neck. You quickly shifted your weight and you forced him onto his back with you now sitting on top of him. You subtly grinded against him, eliciting his own soft moan, which made you grin.
“I want you.” You whispered to him, leaning forward as he caressed the back of your head again, nodding in agreement. You lift yourself up a bit, sliding your hand down between the both of you as you stroked him a few times before settling his tip at your entrance. You were soaked, and with him caressing your lek with one hand, and your breast with the other, you were basically dripping on his cock.
So without another word you sank down on top of him, a loud moan leaving your lips as your head fell back, a low groan tumbling from his, which made you throb in response. “Oh Captain…” You whined, feeling him grip your breast before his hand fell to your hip, squeezing the flesh in his hands.
You began rocking your hips slowly at first, and then started picking up your speed when he started to rut his hips upwards, chasing you every time you lifted up before slamming back down again. Every time you bounced on his cock, you felt the tip nudge against her Cervix which drove you wild. and Rex too with the way he had his eyes glued to your face, seeing every way your brow quivered, or your lips formed an “O” shape when you were about to moan.
Soon enough he could feel you starting to slow your pacem but you were tensing around him, your orgasm building up in your gut like his was. But he didn’t want to even think about releasing yet.
So Rex quickly flipped you both again, making sure you were comfirtable as he lidted your legs up, pressing them back intil they reached your chest. Your eyes widened sliglty but you nodded to him, and just like that he started slamming his hips into yours, the wet and sloppu sounds of his cock sliding in and out of your cunt filling the room, as well as your shared harmony of moans and grunts and pleading words.
What you were pleading for you had no idea, maybe it was your release, or his. But whatever it was he sure as hell was giving it to you.
You opened your eyes after having them squeezed shut fot a few minutes, seeing the sweat collect on his brow before dripping down the side of his face. You quickly raised ypur hand to his cheek, using your thumb to whipe away that bead of sweat, his eyes locking with yours as he leaned down, stealing your lips in an abrupt and firm kiss, hot and passionate like your bodies were acting in this current moment.
A whimper escaped your lips as you tossed your head back, your hands sliding up his back as you dug your nails into his skin, dragging them down as his hips snapped forward. “Im-” You choked out, really not able to form any words. “cumming-” You moaned out, seeing him nod, letting you know that he was close too.
“Together?” Rex panted out, and you nodded, sliding one of your hands to his buzzed blond hair, letting your nails gently scratch his scalp before moving down to his back again.
Rex kissed you once again as if to silence your loud moans, that kept increasing and kept spilling out faster. “Fuck yes Captain!” You moaned out against his lips, hearing his groan as he thrusted one last time before both your orgasms shattered at once. Your cunt gripped him like a vice, and his hot white seed pumped into you, his hips bucking into you a few more times as you rode out your high together…
and when you were spent, and panting he pulled out and flopped onto the bed beside you, his arm immediately wrapping around your waist as he pulled you into him, your sweat and heat mingling together as he peppered soft little kisses all over your face.
“Your beautiful.” He whispered, pressing his lips to yours again, this time in a much softer and delicate kiss, which you happily reciprocated, resting your hand on his cheek while your lekku curled around each other twice. a meaning amongst Twi'Lek’s that meant ‘i love you’
You and Rex laid there for an hour or so, just peppering each other in gentle kisses, before soon you Felt him start to get up, However it wasn’t long before he picked you up in his arms and carried you to the fresher, starting the shower and holding you up while it warmed up.
When it was ready he cleaned you, and you cleaned him, leaning into his touch when he cupped some water and gently let it flow over your lekku. A tingling feeling moving up your spine however it wasn't one of arousal like earlier… It was just a simple touch, and you felt comforted by it.
Soon you and Rex were dressed and cuddled up on the couch you had in the middle of your living area, staring out the large window that gave you an extraordinary view of Coruscant. he pressed a kiss to your forehead and you grinned up at him. “I love you… i’ve loved you for a long time.” You whispered to him, hearing him hum in response. “I love you too… since that time you stitched up that big gash on my chest, from that wild animal on Dantooine…” He trailed off, and you hummed at the memory. “That was a year ago… why didn’t you say anything?” You asked him, your fingers sliding together with his, resting on your thigh now.
“I- I don't know… i guess i was just… scared maybe? scared that it wouldn’t be okay or professional to love you, scared that if I told you, you wouldn’t feel the same… scared that if I admitted to you and myself that if I loved you, I would lose you… and I didn't want to lose you.”
He spoke honestly, and you listened to every word. But when he was done speaking, you moved your hand to his cheek and you tilted his head so he was looking at you, and you offered him a warm smile.”I’m right here now Rex… and you're not losing me…not if i have anything to say about it.” You kidded, seeing a smile climb up his features.
And you were right… Rex never lost you… You stuck by his side through the clone wars, and through Order 66… and you grew old with him, and then you died together… nothing could ever separate you… ever.
I’d like to see a story about a Dogma who got transferred to the Coruscant Guard and meets Reader while he’s working security at a Senate function. They could be a Senator, or a Senator’s staffer or relative or rich donor or gal pal or whatever. Maybe someone is being clone racist to Dogma and Reader gets him out of the situation.
The Right Thing
Summary: You’ve always hated getting dragged to these events. But your mother and father insist on dragging you to these fundraisers anyway. Luckily, you’ve been able to befriend the newest member of the Guard.
Pairing: Corrie! Clone Trooper Dogma x F! Twi'lek Reader
Word Count: 1775
Warnings: men are perverts towards the reader and have been since she was 12, but nothing detailed
A/N: So, this got cute. It made me giggle. I hope you like it. Also, Spario is Spcae Mario.

The worst thing about these fundraisers is that, even now, the people who work with your parents still assume that you’ve been hired as the entertainment.
And, like, sure. You are drop-dead gorgeous and you do have a rocking body. And it’s also true that anyone would be lucky to see you dance, but you’re obviously here as a family member and not the entertainment.
The floor-length gown and fancy jewelry that costs more than a small speeder should be proof of that.
But nooo.
Like clockwork, old perverts try to corner you and ask you for a peek at what’s under your dress.
You’re starting to think that you need to start carrying weapons under your gowns so that when people start being perverted toward you, you can whip out a knife and make them stop.
Sometimes, being a twi’lek is the pits.
And so, fed up with being treated like a piece of meat, you remove yourself from the fundraiser. You find a quiet corner, far away from the wealth and privilege of the Coruscant elite, kick off your stilettos, pull your Gameboy out of your purse, and open your Spario game.
It’s almost an hour later when someone finally comes to find you.
“I thought I’d find you sulking back here,”
You tilt your head back to look up at the clone standing over you, and you grin when you recognize the paint, “I’m not sulking, Dogma. I’m being anti-social. There’s a difference.”
Dogma, formerly of Skywalker’s 501st legion, was transferred to the Coruscant Guard somewhat recently. When you asked him about it, Dogma didn’t answer clearly, but he did say that there was an incident on Umbara and he needed the transfer.
You heard, from a different clone, that Dogma killed a traitorous Jedi and his transfer to the Guard is his punishment.
Honestly, you think it’s utter bullshit, but when you told Dogma as much, he just laughed quietly and admitted that he deserved the punishment. He also admitted that he deserved a harsher punishment than he actually got.
The look on his face made you too afraid to push for more details.
“Why are you sitting on the floor, pretty?” Dogma asks, his tone teasing as he uses the Guard’s nickname for you.
“Because, sometimes, I want to go back to being a mud-covered little girl rather than…this.” You gesture to your body, “I’m not allowed to go chase frogs anymore, I have to be a lady.”
“You know, people don’t generally complain about being attractive.” Dogma notes as he leans against the wall next to you.
“Yeah, well, then those people can handle the comments.” You mutter bitterly.
He glances at you, something like sympathy on his face, “What’d they say this time?”
You’re quiet for a moment, and then you shift to pull your knees to your chest and you wrap your arms around them, “I don’t wanna talk about it.” You pause, “But, it made me feel dirty.”
“I’m sorry,” He means it, you know. “I wish I could offer more than words.”
“It’s alright. It’s enough that you don’t treat me like that.”
“That’s not nearly enough.” He counters with a shake of his head, and then he pushes away from the wall, “But, I have to get back to my patrol. I just wanted to check on you.”
You beam at him, “That’s why you’re my favorite!”
He laughs softly, and pulls his helmet back down, but not before you can see a flush working up his neck. “I don’t think you’re supposed to have favorites, pretty.”
“But I do, and it’s you.” You giggle as his head tilts away from you, clearly embarrassed by your words, “But I’ll let you get back to your patrol. Stay safe, Dogma.”
“It’s a fundraiser, pretty. How much danger can there be?” With that said, Dogma ducks out from under the curtain and returns to the party as a whole. And you, no longer entertained by having someone to talk to, turn your attention back to your game.
It’s about 45 minutes later after you get a text from your mother telling you to get your butt back into the party, that you stumble across Dogma and one of the more perverted men you’ve had the misfortune to run into.
Dogma is tense, standing at his full height, and unmoving as the other man calls him all manner of disgusting things. You slow your steps as you approach and then slowly stop.
Commander Fox, and the other Commanders in the Guard, have all said the same thing to you multiple times. “Don’t get involved if you see someone harassing a guard. It’s not worth it. You’ll just be putting yourself in harm’s way.”
But, how can you just do nothing?
All it takes for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. And you’re not sure if this counts as evil, and you know that you don’t count as a good man, but you do know that Dogma is a good man and he doesn’t deserve this.
“There you are.” You smoothly step between Dogma and the Ambassador who has made your life hell since you grew a pair of breasts at 12, “Ambassador, the party is in the other room.”
“Ah, yes. Well, I needed to correct this meat droid—” He smiles at you, an oily smile that makes you repress a shudder of revulsion, “Have you been looking for me?”
You lift your hand to your cheek, “Well, not me. But I think your wife was looking for you. She looked very cross about something…” You trail off, and your words are rewarded by him going grey.
“My--my wife, you say? Well, I should get back to her—” The Ambassador turns and scurries away, leaving you and Dogma alone in the hall.
You’re about to turn to check on Dogma when his hand wraps around your upper arm. Surprised, you turn your head to peer at him, but before you can say anything, he tugs you out a hidden door you barely notice.
His grip is firm enough that you can’t pull away, but it’s also gentle enough that you won’t have bruises.
As soon as you’re outside, the cool night air of Coruscant making you shiver slightly, he releases you and rips off his helmet. He looks angry. But, more than that, he looks afraid.
“Dogma?”
“What were you thinking?” Dogma demands, “You should have just walked away.”
“But, you were in trouble—”
“I had it handled.” He sets his helmet on a table and runs his hand over his head, “Kriff, pretty, you’re not supposed to get involved. Ever. It’s not safe.”
“But it’s safe for you to handle it alone? How does that make sense.”
“You—” he pauses and takes a deep breath before he carefully reaches up and cups your face in both his hands, “You,” He repeats, his voice softer now, “have been targeted by men like that for years. Why would you do anything to make them look at you again?”
His hands are warm, even though his gloves and your heart feels like it’s about to burst out of your chest. Butterflies flutter in your stomach, and without thinking about it, you reach up and wrap your hands around his wrists, not to push him away, but to try and keep him there. “Because you’re you, Dogma.”
As simple as it sounds, it’s the honest truth.
“I don’t need you to protect me.” Dogma’s voice is softer now, barely a whisper.
“Maybe not, but I’m going to anyway.”
His thumbs lightly brush across your cheekbones, and you have a moment where you’re ridiculously grateful that you decided against wearing a lot of face makeup tonight.
“You’re just asking for trouble, pretty.”
“I like trouble.” You reply as you inch a little closer to him.
“You really shouldn’t.” Dogma’s eyes are sharp as you inch closer to him, and he releases a shaky little breath as your chest bumps against his, “You—” He trails off, unable to finish as your lips ghost against his jaw.
You feel his fingers flex against your cheeks, as though he’s fighting the urge to push you away, or maybe pull you closer. You’re not sure, but based on the helpless look on his face, you have a pretty good idea of which one he’d prefer.
“I suppose that was inappropriate of me,” You whisper up to him, your lips still brushing against his skin.
“You could at least kiss me properly if you’re going to get me in trouble,” Dogma replies.
“Is that what you want?” You ask, tilting your head back so your lips are hovering just over his.
“If I told you what I wanted, you’d never speak to me again.” Dogma counters, before closing the distance between the pair of you.
You bring your arms up to wrap around his neck, and one of his hands slides to the back of your neck, and the other rests low on your hip. He’s warm, and even though the kiss is a little awkward, it’s still the best kiss you’ve ever had in your life.
He tastes minty. And you can’t get enough.
But Dogma breaks the kiss, and he laughs when you lean in to try and continue it. He presses a finger against your lips, and puts a little distance between your bodies.
“Dogma?”
“Fox is going to kill me.” He replies, “But…I’m not sorry about it.”
“I can protect you from him too.” You try to step back into his space, really only thinking about having his lips against yours again.
But he doesn’t allow it.
“Dogma—” That is a distinct whine, and color rushes to his face at the way his name sounds like that.
“I have to work, pretty. And you have to make an appearance before your parents come looking for you.”
“So…”
“Rain check.” Dogma promises, “I’m off the clock tomorrow. We can go to that aquarium that you love so much.”
“And we can kiss some more?” You ask hopefully.
The laugh that falls from him makes your stomach flip, “If you’re good, sure.”
“I can be good. I can be so good. You’ll see.”
And maybe you should be embarrassed about your eagerness, but he’s Dogma, so how could you be anything but eager? And maybe he’s just as eager as you because he kisses you quickly one more time before he pulls his helmet on and fully pulls away from you.
In any event, you now have a very good reason to get through tonight without causing a commotion.
For commander Monkk can I request a cute little fic where he has a crush on his generals former Padawan, now turned Jedi knight, and teaches her how to swim when both their battalions have a day off and spend it at the beach 👉👈
I'll Love Every Version Of You
Summary: One year ago your master, Kit Fisto, promoted you to Jedi Knight though it would have been his preference to keep you at his side until the war's end. But the Jedi needed more Knights and you were old enough and skilled enough that keeping you as a padawan would have been a waste of time. This is your first real break in over a year, and you get to spend it on a peaceful tropical planet, with your former Master…and his battalion.
Pairing: Commander Monnk x F! Twi'lek Reader
Word Count: 1190
Warnings: Reader is described as a twi'lek with freckles.
A/N: I wasn't sure where to go with this, at first, but I think I'm happy with this one. Maybe. I'm super dizzy, so it might not be the best, lol.

You’re glad for the break.
The last year has been you, and your battalion, running from one crisis to the next without much of a chance for a break, save for what time you can take while traveling through hyperspace.
You’re exhausted. You feel like you could sleep for a year and still not get enough rest.
Which is funny. You don’t remember being half this exhausted when you were Master Kit’s padawan.
Of course, even when you’re supposed to be resting (Vax is going to have your head on a silver platter if you don’t get your stress levels down at least a little bit), you still have work that you need to consider.
The truth is, you’re worried about the next mission.
It’s based on a water planet, and while you know how to swim, your Master is from an aquatic species after all, you’ll be the first person to admit that you’re not the strongest swimmer.
Not through any failing on his part, though.
The failing is all you.
You stretch out on the blanket you’re relaxing on, and bury your toes in the hot sand. In truth, as a twi’lek, you’ve always been a poor match for Master Kit as a padawan. There were plenty of aquatic initiates that he could have chosen from, and yet he chose you.
You remember the other Councilers commenting on how unusual it was that Master Kit didn’t take another Nautolan or a Mon Cala as a padawan. They were careful to not make it seem like they didn’t approve, but you’ve always been a sensitive child.
A huff falls from your lips as you feel your stress levels rising.
Vax is definitely going to kill you. He only signed off on this because he thinks you’re going to stress yourself into an early grave.
“Well now, look who it is,” You turn your head to the side when you hear the familiar voice, and a small smile crosses your lips, “Was wondering where you were hiding, kid.”
“I’m hardly a kid anymore, Commander.”
Commander Monnk, your Master’s right hand, and someone you’re lucky enough to call a friend, laughs and sits on the towel next to you, dripping water onto your bare skin.
His dark eyes scan your bikini-clad form, and a small smirk lifts the corner of his lips, “Oh, I can see that, mesh’la.”
You seriously consider flinging some sand at his face but think again. He’s always been like this, flirty and teasing. He doesn’t mean anything by it.
“I figured I’d sunbathe someplace private so people won’t stare at me.” You shrug, “Plus, Master still gets a funny little twitch when he sees me wearing bikinis.”
“Well, you are his daughter.”
“Former Padawan,”
Monnk rolls his eyes and tweaks the end of one of your lekku, “Semantics.”
You toss a small grin up at him, and he grins right back at you. You missed Monnk. You like Commander Vash. You do, he’s smart and competent. But he’s not Monnk.
“So,” Monnk continues as he leans back on his hands, “What’s bothering you?”
You sit up and fold your legs, “What makes you think something’s bothering me?”
“Vash.”
You scowl out towards the water, “He’s a snitch.”
“Also, according to Vax, you’ve been stressed. And haven’t been sleeping well.”
This time you direct your scowl at him, “Is my entire battalion spying on me for you?”
“Come on, mesh’la. Don’t be like that,” One of his fingers traces a line of freckles on your shoulder making you shiver, “They’re worried about you. I’m worried about you.”
The sigh that falls from you is so heavy it makes you wince.
“Well, clearly you’re worried about something.” And, of course, Monnk catches it. “Come on, talk to me.”
“We have a mission,” You admit, “To an aquatic planet.” It’s all you say. It’s all you have to say.
“Ah.”
You draw your knees up so you’re able to rest your chin on them, “I don’t know what to do, Monnk. My battalion thinks I’m a great swimmer, and that I’ll do wonderfully on this mission. But I won’t.”
“Your swimming hasn’t improved since leaving General Fisto’s side?”
You shoot him a pained look, “When would I have the chance?”
“No wonder you’re so stressed.” Monnk shifts slightly, draping his arm over his raised knee. “Alright, let’s get some swimming practice in.”
“What?”
“This is a pretty secluded spot you’ve found, no one will see us practicing your swimming.” Monnk continues.
“This is supposed to be your vacation too, Monnk.”
“Yeah, and this is how I want to spend it.” He hops to his feet and offers you his hand, “Come on.”
It’s the easiest thing in the world, to reach out and take his hand. It’s Monnk, after all.
He leads you into the water, and then out until you’re standing on your toes to keep the water off your face, “Here’s a good place to start,” Monnk murmurs, his hands warm against your hips, helping you keep your head above the water.
“If you say so,” You scrunch up your nose as your toes leave the ground due to a wave.
“Ah, don’t look like that mesh’la. This will be fun!”
“For you, maybe.”
Monnk laughs, but when he looks at you there’s something soft and affectionate in his gaze. His hands, warm and calloused from years of weapon handling, slide from your hips to rest on your sides. “How are you still so impossibly soft?”
“I use lotion to keep my skin healthy,” You reply.
“Yeah? Need help with that?”
“Pervert,” You counter, affectionately.
“Just to you, mesh’la,” Monnk says automatically. It’s a familiar conversation, one you’ve had with him time and time again. Monnk has never shied away from how he feels about you.
He wears his heart on his sleeve, at least when it comes to you.
“Alright!” Monnk’s hands tighten around you, “Are you ready to begin?”
“I suppose.”
“Good,” He pauses, “Hm…I should charge you for this.”
A startled laugh slips from you, “I have to pay you to teach me how to swim.”
“All good swimming teachers are paid,” He counters solemnly.
“Alright, but I should warn you, I’m not paid.”
“A kiss,” Monnk says, his gaze serious and slightly wistful, “I teach you in exchange for a kiss. Maybe two.”
“Two? Aren’t you being a little greedy?” You tease.
“Well,” His voice is low as he lightly presses his forehead against yours, “The economy is in shambles—”
You don’t let him finish, as you tilt your head to press your lips against his.
He reacts immediately, his arms locking securely around your waist as he pulls you as close as he can. Monnk immediately deepens the kiss, his tongue sliding across your lips.
The force almost sings with what he feels for you. I love you. I’ve always loved you. I’ll always love you. No matter who you become. No matter where you go.
And so, you slide your arms around his neck and allow him to pull you closer. After all, you love him too. He’s Monnk, after all.
