I think... that stuff like this sort of spurs Dragon into doing something? Like... she can’t sit on it. She does her thinking on the move.

Dragon tends to sort of react more to the emotions of other people, than the situation. If that makes sense? It’s not that she’s NOT feeling anything about little Twig being lost, but it’s hearing how choked up the Conductor is about it that really gets to her. She hears how much it’s messing him up and she’s GOT to help do something about it, for his sake and for Twig’s.

Listen. Listen. I know a lot of CRAZY traumatizing shit is going on, but I really hope that someone took the time to inform Dragon and all the other kids that couldn’t be there about what happened. I’m sure they’re all mad with worry. Dragon’s been pacing, and trying to distract herself with a book, but heck if that’s been working. (she didn’t go because she can’t deal with stuff like that. It made her feel bad, but she needs NEWS)
