What was a favourite plot twist of yours, in any of the shows you've seen?

oh, I LOVE this, this is a wonderful question! thank you! Naturally now that you've asked I cannot recall a single show I watched, ever, let alone any plot twists, but I'll try.

I typed my list of things I remember watching more recently (as in the last 3-4 years) and looking at it now … I think in general, I like twists that make me go OH in hindsight or when I rewatch – things that blindside me even though once you know it it's clear as day, or things that I kinda thought might be but dismissed as improbable/just my specific reading. I avoid spoilers like the plague partially because of this – I want to experience the narrative as it unfolds and THEN go back when I know more, not, idk, miss the chance at having that completely fresh impression? if that makes sense.

Spoilers galore below, proceed with caution. Shows mentioned and plot twists spoiled for: CQL, The Eclipse, Be My Favourite, Bad Buddy, Khun Chaai, Triage. I wish there were a way to use spoiler tags on tumblr. alas.

CQL/The Untamed: Nie Huaisang's whole deal? MIND. BLOWN.

The Eclipse: the Dika/Chadok storyline, holy shit

Be My Favourite: the whole "Pisaeng is gay and has known this about himself for ages" thing

Bad Buddy: both the relatively minor "we actually already know each other and whatever we are, we're not actually enemies at all, even if we're not friends", the "oh shit, the parents' beef is actually legitimate, and worse than we thought", and the fact that they ACTUALLY GAVE US TEXTUAL LESBIANS holy SHIT.

Honourable mention that don't exactly fit the description but that I enjoyed anyway:

Khun Chaai: Xiaotong deciding to side with Thian and Jiu, and Khun Jan surviving to the end of the show.

Triage: Tol getting a shot at the doing-things-over bit

I bet as soon as I post this I'll have "HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT" moments, but that's how these things go, right? :D;;

This is tough – I think my main contenders are Triage and He's Coming To Me. Both of them kind of got the short stick, at least in the Anglosphere – Triage due to AISplay's chosen distribution model of "up on youtube for about 2hrs per ep only", He's Coming To Me due to fandom politics at the time of release. They're both really smart, plotty shows with interesting characters beyond just the main ship, and I adore them.

Ah, this is so sweet! In no particular order:

All the friends and family who let me quasi-adopt their cats because my building doesn't allow pets.

The temperature finally cooling down so I can take midday walks without boiling.

Reengaging with fandom(s), like I have with Only Friends.

My heartleaf philodendron that is thriving and has grown three new shoots since I repotted it.

A friend who has been unemployed for months after a layoff literally just texting me to say she got a job offer.

@twig-tea I do both :) for the Falco one that was straight ink, but for more complex pieces (or ones I'm feeling less confident about) I do a rough pencil sketch and then adjust proportions and flaws when I'm inking! I am trying to do more straight ink pieces though because then you really focus on what you're doing and tend to be more precise anyways.
