Twilight Links?
Heyyyy… I’m finally posting something on my fan blog. It’s a Zelda thing. See, I was up late last night because I’d finally finished all my work for the Winter Semester at my College, and I was like—Imma work on fanfic stuff now! So I went through all my fanfic WIPs and found an old concept I had for a Zelda-Verse fanfic where Ocarina Link travels across time to various different Zelda games to save the Goddess Hylia. It’s not the most unique concept, but I wanted to take a crack at the whole Zelda-Verse concept.
Anyway, I got writing and when I got to the Twilight Princess world I suddenly realized there was the best potential to turn all the Links into Twilight beasts—so I thought very hard about what I wanted each of them to look at and came up with these designs:
Tears of the Kingdom Link is the boar with the Wierd arm. I made him a boar because those things are violent and scary, and also because my brain associates boars and wolves with each other for some reason. (Thanks Princess Mononoke.)
Wind Waker Link is the Rat in the corner. He’s a rat because the rats from Wind Waker are iconic, and because he’s always sneaking around and getting into trouble. Also… he’s sea rat… lol.
Ocarina Link is the Golden Wolf, because the Twilight Princess game already decided that for me. I originally wanted to make him into a rabbit, because it matched with the whole time thing and him going through all the dimensions.
And in case anyone was wondering, (no one was wondering,) the dark wolf is Twilight Princess Link.
Skyward Link doesn’t get a Twilight form, unfortunately for him, (he shows up too late in the story,) but if he did I think I’d make him a monkey. He gives me monkey vibes. The obvious choice would be a bird, but a bird would just be too overpowered cuz it can fly…. So that’s probably why he skips the twilight storyline.
