Dazzling sunlight zipped from the tip of the blade down to the ricasso and a surge of energy instilled him. He'd forgotten how natural it'd been for him to wield the Master Sword: it embodied him in every way and opened his eyes to feelings he was previously blind to. Like he could think every thought and feel every feeling of the persons who'd wielded it before him, distant and yet so powerful.

Personal opinion but I don’t think Twilight Princess Zelda is as stoic as the fandom makes her out to be.
Think about it. If you were ruler of a kingdom, and you had just been given the choice of fighting and losing via death, or surrendering and losing, but saving the lives of your people, wouldn’t you be sad and quiet? If you were doomed to stay in a single, bare room in a crumbling castle, looking out at your conquered kingdom and surviving on mere scraps of food, wouldn’t you be solemn and unsmiling? If you believed that your life would be this way from then on, locked in a cage of damp stone, forced to see your kingdom and people fade away under the harsh reign of foreigners, would you be happy? Would you be smiling and joyful if everything you knew and loved was forced to submit to darkness? If you saved your people from a bloody death, but ultimately doomed yourself and your kingdom to eternal misery?
Would you really be happy?
That’s why I don’t think TP Zelda is actually stoic. Through the entirety of the game, whenever we see her (which, anyway, is very little), she’s quiet and expressionless. Which is VALID considering she just lost her whole entire kingdom to these evil shadow people…..like um. I really don’t think that’s her normal personality, and I don’t get why everyone sees her that way in general. She could be very energetic and happy outside of the twilight, but if anyone is put in a horrible situation, they’re not going to be constantly smiling and laughing about it. (Most people would be concerned if they were).
So…yeah. Just my opinion, but honestly I think it’s valid, because we only saw her during a time of war and suffering, not during her normal life.
