Fallout from an RP with unkorea-fr. 

Twilightskies has Issues (that match the OC she's based on :D) but she also has friends who know how to deal in trickery/lies to keep her safe. 

Quick and rough, getting idea's down. I'll likely clean this up at some point.

Typical warnings for Shadowsong. 

"I can't - I can't sleep." The younger pearlcatcher whispered as she curled up beside Nightfire. " I- T-That dragon. From a few days ago -"

"You're scared." Nightfire said kindly, extending a wing over the smaller dragon and when Twilight nodded, Nightfire sighed. "They won't come back. They have no reason to."

"N-No..." Twilightskies shook her head. Her fears told her they would. " T-That guardian - s-she knew Kyris w-was from- An-and that other one..." 

"Bane is mistaken."  Pyrelyte said with a snarl. "Nothing more than whelp. She's likely not even the hatchling that was lost. Mistakes do happen."

"As for Kyris -They think he's a minion. We'll keep it that way." Nightfire said, nuzzling her friend. "They escaped notice of the guards once. It won't happen again."

"Y-Yes. I.. I don't want to go back."

"You won't." Pyrelyt said as he yawned. "Kyris gifted you to us, isn't that what Nightfire said."

"Yes.."

"She called you chattel, too."

"B-But it's a lie..."

"That keeps them from the truth." The tundra looked at the two pearlcatchers from the corner of his eye. "I doubt they'd be stupid enough to steal a 'beloved slave that belongs to a devout shadowborn'. Not one who 'prayed'  for reward."

" I..." Twilightskies shook her head. She didn't think they were, but she hadn't seen much of that clan - just enough to make her terrified of them on a whole. "M-Maybe."

" We'll find you a necklace, if you want."

" Please.."  She whimpered. If it would keep her safe, she'd agree to anything.

Nightfire nodded, but said nothing as she crooned a comforting song to the younger. Pyrelyt said nothing either as he shifted so Twilightskies could better curl up against him. 

They wouldn't allow Twightlyskies to be hurt.

Anyway, story time!

"Healer!" Kyris cried as he slipped out of the shadows and started several of his clan mates. Behind him, the injured pearlcatchers eyes were wide and frightened, alarmed at suddenly being within the Plaguebringer's domain. She backtracked, pearl clutched tight.

"Kyris were did you find her?" Nightfire asked as she made her way to to the Shadow-touched dragon, her own pearl held within a makeshift sling.

"The Woods. Some dragon mistook me for a Minion." Kyris laughed slightly as his familiar giggled in delight at the trick they'd pulled.

"I can see and smell why." She shook her head in disbelief at him, even as she looked the other female over, eyes kind as she took in the injuries and deep marks left behind by chains. "Did you break the chains?"

"It wasn't hard, not in the Woods." Kyris nodded as he sat down. His prize's baffled look was ignored completely. "They called her 'Mulchface'. I changed it to Twilightskies."

"Poor thing." Nightfire sighed. "But you have a new name now. Come. Pyrelyt'll get you sorted."

"I-He's not-" Twilightskies looked between them as she stood and gingerly followed after the other, even as a massive red-and-black ridgeback passed them. The newest member of the clan paused, eyes widening when Kyris leapt up onto the ridgeback's back and settled there. "He's blind and yet-"

"A minion?" A her nod, Nightfire laughed. "He was Touched. A gift to us. As for the blindness - he's been like that since... birth."

"They'll be furious at the trick..." The younger looked down. "And will at-"

"They won't know." Nightfire smirked. "He smells like a Minion and looks like one. That's all they'll know him as."

"Oh. But-"

"We were once of Shadow. We do know how to fool and trick if needed." Nightfire said as she herded the younger towards the waiting tundra. "Don't worry. You're safe here."

Twilightskies nodded, even as she looked around. Safe... in a plagueclan. "Of... course."

She wasn't sure she believed that just yet.

"This your doing, Kyris?"

A tiny thing - fae by the sounds of it - tumbled to a stop at his paws and Kyris blinked unseeing eyes at Blackout. "No - Why?"

"It just appeared in Bane's place. Tarn's not amused." The thug poked the tiny thing, not long passed its first moult. "You brought the other one, so.."

"No. I just found the pearlcatcher." The other skydancer used his paw to feel over the fae, electing whimpers and cries. "She's been hurt."

"And?" Blackout's look was lost on the blind dancer and he sighed. "It's pretty enough, so Tarn's letting it stay. Dunno were Bane went and this thing ain't talking."

"I thought he killed them."

"Nah." Blackout shook his head, even as he scuffed the startled fae and deposited her on his back next to the sleeping Scorponok. "He's gonna use them - well the remaining one- as offerings if they don't sell or something. Berylia's down in the pits and Galvatron denies anything and everything."

"Of course he would. He's crazy but not suicidal." Kyris shook his head. "Will she die?"

"No. Tarn likes her colours and the Voice won't let him. Useful, they claim. Bunch of stagdung if you ask me. Just another mouth to feed and we're crowded as is."

"Hmm..." Kyris nodded. "Want do you think."

Blackout's response came after a look pause. "The Voice knows something."

"Don't they always?" Kyris said long after Blackout had left, sightless eyes looking to the sky in thought.
