"Why do so many people assume I'm jealous about Lian getting her tattoos?" Hiro asked, sounding genuinely confused and genuinely irritated. -twin-winds
“Cause you’re a twin and don’t you know that means that everything you do has to be connected to your twin?” said Rama, sarcas dripping with every word.
Lian stepped out of the washroom, looking slightly flushed. Stumbling slightly for a brief second, she accidentally bumped into Nima. "Sorry" she mumbled, glancing at her cousin. -twin-winds
Nima raised her eyebrows.
“Were you throwing up again?”
"Are we allowed to have pets besides lemurs and bison?" Lian asked, tilting her head curiously. - twin-winds
“Of course, dear. Lots of people have pets other than them... why do you ask?”
"Guess what?" Lian demanded excitedly as she stopped in front of Rama and Taani. However, she didn't give them a chance to guess, as she spoke again a second later "Grandpa says I'm ready to get my tattoos." - twin-winds
“Really?” Rama blinkd, then smiled. “That’s great.”
Taani nodded beside him.
“When did he tell you that?” he asked.
"Well, for one, I doubt the kid is actually mine, no matter what she says. Considering she was pretty eager to get in the sack with me when I told her I had protection, I wouldn't be surprised if she'd pulled that same trick with like half the city. And, if it's not my kid, how is it my fault for her getting herself in this mess?" he questioned angrily.
“And if it is your child? What then?” she asked. “You stating that the child might not be yours is just a crutch to absolve yourself of blame. Has it occurred to you that she simply cared about you enough and wanted to be closer to you?”
Why was she suddenly having this drawn out conversation with this absolute moron? She didn’t really know, but something about the way he was talking about his situation was familiar.
"He wasn't too much trouble, was he?" Lian asked Rama and Taani as she picked up Koichi the following morning. She had to admit, the extra hours of sleep had helped quite a bit. - twin-winds
Taani shook her head as she handed over Koichi.
“No,” she said softly. “He cried a little, but he’s fine. He’s just a fussy baby.”
“It’s not like he’s the first kid we’ve ever been aorund so it didn’t bother us honestly. He just wants to be held a lot honestly,” said Rama, shrugging.
"You really think I'm ready to get my tattoos?" Lian asked her grandfather, her eyes wide with amazement and practically glittering with excitement. - twin-winds
“Perhaps...” he said slowly. “You’ve shown much improvement and I’m proud of you for how you’ve matured with your training. I think it’s time.”
"Hey guys...Good to see you" Lian said with a small smile, sounding somewhat tired. If the squeaky-sounding yawn that emitted from the bundle in her arms was any indication, she wasn't the only one. - twin-winds
Rama grimaced through his smile and Taani nodded.
“Koichi doesn’t want to sleep, huh?”
