Chapter 1 / Episode 5 (SECTION 1) - Oh Celestial, who is with the stars above…

The time is 4:00 AN.

Deep within the forest near the village, away from prying eyes & the complexity of civilized life, someone lived amongst the woods.

They were mostly uninterested in the goings-on of the outside world, only ever interacting with the village if they ever needed supplies or connection.

Not much could be made out about the Sprunki from afar, with the only things immediately apparent being their sapphire blue coat, the antlers & ears suggesting them to be a Bestia-Cornutus Sprunki, & a robe that seemed to be pulled from the night sky.

Whoever they were, the mysterious Sprunki was collecting various flora that matched the deep blues & purples of the cosmos, putting everything they collect in a satchel they were carrying on their person.

Once enough was collected, the mysterious Sprunki would soon reach a creek, the mouth of a comparatively small looking cave at the other side. On the outside, it seemed somewhat unremarkable, but it's clear they have business here.

They would continue moving, wading through the water & taking out a journal once they advanced into the cave entrance.

In what can only be described as an act of actual, true magic, a ball of light is summoned from the pages of the book, the sprunki's face now illuminated, revealing the figure to be Jevin. They were by far the most mysterious villager, to the point it's debatable if he even could be considered one.

After trekking through the cave, they would come upon its end, home to a shrine of their own creation.

The shrine was comprised of two main parts.

The altar, a basalt slab for offerings...

...and the mural, depicting a pantheon of only two, above & below a circle that could only be the world.

The upper side showed a symbol of two triangles & a circle, the upper triangle holding an eye & the lower a question mark, with a pair of hands that held a hammer & chisel...

...whilst the lower side showed a shadowy blob, its tendrils reaching out to consume the world as it held an empty gaze.

The blue Sprunki, once having knelt & placed their offering, would begin reciting a prayer.

Once finished, the blue Sprunki would light the offering of flora ablaze, before hearing two pairs of beeps that almost certainly could never come from the natural world.

Pulling out their phone, he'd open the one contact he had.

...Well, seems like he should get prepared.

//Sooo, since we've hit another ask drought, I'll be making a little guide to show what is & is not a stylistic choice in Sprunki: Twin Gods! //First off: If you ever see me draw any sprunki with small pupils like the image on the left, that is a stylistic choice on my end, as their irises are black, and therefore make expressions more limited. As for what a canon compliant version of this would look like, see the image on the right. (I am using Wenda here as an example because A. She's fun to draw, & B. Given her pupils are white, you can actually see this is the same expression)

As already seen in a few posts at this point, I've been drawing the hands as simple circles, as you may see with Gametoon's interpretation of Sprunki or Nintendo's Miis, but the Sprunki of Sprunki: Twin Gods would have actual hands! Think how Madness Combat depicts their characters- (I'm using Jevin's hand here, as an example!)

//Lastly, the legs! Now, I know the stick legs I've drawn the sprunki with once or twice seems like it's pretty obviously a stylistic choice, but you'd be mistaken! If someone took a sprunki & took them from their world & dropped them in ours, they'd still possess the stick legs I draw them with!

Hey Jevin, what're you up to?

In a cave deep within the forest, resides a Sprunki resembling the mystical jackalope and the color of the sea, knelt before a cryptic mural, depicting... something.

The runic writing would look like nothing seen in the modern day, with the cryptic symbol in the center having lost its meaning to all but a few, including Jevin, who appears to be praying to the mural. 💙: "Oh great Celestial, who is with the stars above Sonus, may your watchful eye gaze upon our world as it flourishes, and may we hope to reach to you one day, and the rest of your creation.." They'd deposit an offering of lavender onto a plate of basalt, before rising to their feet. Upon doing so, he would equip a sheet of paper with the same sort of writing on it. Due to the dim light, it's impossible to make out what exactly is written.

💙: "...And don't think I didn't notice you, spirit of knowledge." The sapphire sprunki's voice was calm & collected, almost as if he was expecting the anon's presence. They'd then turn around, crumpling the paper with one hand & summoning a ball of light hovering inches above their palm from it.

💙: "As for your question, I was simply engaging in my morning prayer."

💙: "Is there anything else you wish to inquire about?"

I'm just popping in to say that there was initially going to be more images for this post, but I've had so much trouble with motivation that I figured it'd be better to post this in its current state & update it later on, that way you actually get something and we get to keep things going! // THE CELESTIAL //

A now mostly forgotten deity, The Celestial is said to have created the universe of the sprunki, passively watching until their civilization is able to reach the stars above, where it's prophesized to reside. At this point, much is unknown about The Celestial, even to their most devout followers in the modern day.
