Today I’ll finally sit down to overhaul my mods folder. While doing so, I saw a few pictures of Twinhills in my folders, that I haven’t shared yet. I thought, it would be a shame to let them sit in an archive somewhere on my hard drive. I’m inspired, when I see other peoples games, so I thought someone might feel the same. :)
Twinhills’ map
As you might know: Twinhills shared a common doom: Hood corruption.
Right now, I can’t bring myself to rebuild the neighborhood, though I have saved as much data as possible. (Sims, buildings etc.) While doing so, I also loaded the SC4-terrain (because I have some diffrent versions and wanted to make sure I have the right one in my folder) Though I can’t see myself to build in that area any time soon, I thought others might find this terrain useful.
Please note: I edited Twinhills with the "modifyNeighborhoodTerrain"-cheat, so there might be spots, where the terrain doesn’t look 100% like the Twinhills in my pictures. The version of Twinhills I used for me personally has slightly diffrent roads as well. This is because I created Twinhills with invisible roads in mind, so I can use decorative ones instead. This requires a few tricks (like using Lotadjuster a lot) and I do realize, this is not for everybody. That’s why I’m sharing this version. There are no gaps inbetween the roads, so you can just place down your lots and play.
There is only one spot of special note: The Isle of Oghmor
As you can see: The road is cut off at the edges, so you can add mini-lots at the end of the road. (Thanks @criquette-was-here for this information. It’s very useful!)
Installation SC4-terrains do not go into your downloads folder. Please extract the archive to: My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\SC4Terrains
Thanks to @criquette-was-here for expert-tips on designing SC4-maps. And also thanks to @mortia, who inspired me to go for a big medieval world again.
And also thanks for following me. I just realized, there are 600 people, who decided it would be a good thing to see, how I corrupt my game again and again *crying* Anyhow: Thanks for every kind word and for every like. It is much appreciated.

I built a quarry. This makes me so proud, because this is the third attempt. Spoiler alert: There will be miner household and a jeweler.
Just have to build the houses for the families now. But today is not that day. >_<
After including this fix, I loaded Twinhills again. I done something, I haven’t done in years: I installed a new lightning mod. (This one by dreadpirate.) I decided to use the EA-shader for neighborhood water, because it looks ok imo and the game is less stuttery with it. (In lot I use Moi’s shader.) Thought, I might also share the pictures I took. :)
Autumn is harvest season. Everybody helps to get the crops and clean the house.
The new house of the Druggalds
I don’t want to brag, but I’m really proud of this house. :)
Floorplan under the cut.
