Please be aware, the area is HUGE.

It was my first attempt at an sc4 terrain and I didn't realize how much bigger it'd be when imported into Sims 2. I wanted a lot of space for large farms... I definitely accomplished that.

I also tried to make beach lots work, but only one road ended up being close enough to the water. You can still get about 2-3 beach lots in - again, I'm new to making sc4 terrains and misjudged the sizing.

By that point I'd gone back to SC4 to tweak things at least a dozen times, and I was getting impatient to decorate and play, so I didn't fix it. I knew I planned to cover most of the coastline in rocks anyway, and at the time I had no intention of sharing the terrain on Tumblr.

Now here's where I might place future lots:

The little hilltop to the northeast is where my nobles will live, and eventually my royal family. I'll have my main castle there, and there'll be plenty of space for military barracks, training grounds, and a farm to feed the upper classes and military.

The east will be my shops, communal well, tavern, boarding house, etc. There's more room than what I know what to do with, so I'll probably fill it up with a few deco buildings too. I'll probably have my convent and church somewhere in the middle, where it starts to become more rural. All of the farmland will be to the west, and then the most western edge of the map will be forests. The little hill on the top left will probably have a camp for my outlaws.

Everything is obviously subject to change, as this is a very long-term project and I have a lot of time to get new ideas, but I wanted to share my thought process while designing the map.

Lost Trail SC4 Terrain

It's surrounded by mountains with only one road out of town, it could be good for a small town, old west ghost town, or supernatural hood that's hidden away from the rest of the world. There's a large lake with roads at the right level to place beach lots. I used the Twikkii Island map as a base so beach lots made on a Twikkii map will likely work on this one

Miscellaneous SC4 Terrains

I had to get a new laptop recently and lost access (so I thought) to a few SC4 terrains I had made that I was very proud of. However, I just so happened to take a look on my OneDrive, and lo and behold, what did I find? So, I thought I'd share them all here for everyone to enjoy. They don't have any preview pics because I whipped this together very quickly. These terrains were all made 3-4 years ago, so they are rather old and choppy. I plan on maybe releasing some decorated images to show you how they CAN look, with the right styling.

WARNING - THESE SC4 TERRAINS WERE ORIGINALLY MEANT FOR PERSONAL USE. THIS MEANS THEY ARE VERY ROUGH AND WILL DEFINITELY REQUIRE HEAVY USE OF THE MODIFYNEIGHBORHOODTERRAIN ON CHEAT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Terrain 1: Kingdom (or Llwynogoch)

This was my first ever terrain. I made it when I just started getting into medieval sims creation, and it was intended for a medieval town. As you can see, the river is very choppy. This is because it was made using road pieces in SC4 to keep the depth and width consistent, with the intent to smooth it out ingame.

Terrain 2: Pontymython

This terrain was designed for a Welsh seaside town with an integrated university. It was heavily inspired by Aberystwyth. As you can see, there is a spot on the right where it is intended for use with Numenor's lost and found waterfall hood deco. It trickles down quite realistically, and there is room to add a curved bridge (such as one by criquette or lordcrumps) to bridge the gap over top, with deco roads leading out of the town. I like my terrains large, so this is no exception.

Sorry for the rushed post! I actually didn't plan on putting this out any time soon, so this is with little to no planning. Despite the roughness of the terrains, I hope you all enjoy these and can find some use!

I've been wanting to start a new custom hood for a while now and finally got around to making my very first SC4 terrain!

It's a medium sized map vaguely inspired by the French Alps with a river fork separating the town center from the residential area. I kept most of it very flat for easy lot placement and building and after many painful attempts managed to fit in a small riverside area where you can place a couple of beach lots. I wanted it to have mountains, a river, and be mostly flat to boot, and decided to share in case anyone was looking for a similar thing :)

Sameville

a very flat, small town map with a nice coastline!

I spent my formative years - ages 8 through 18 - in a place called Spring Hill, Florida. At that time it was just a "place" ...not yet incorporated into a town - still with dirt roads if you veered too far off from the main boulevard. It had one school, one small grocery, and one gas station with a convenience store - oh, thank Heaven! The whole development was designed as a "retirement" community, meant to entice New Yorkers to buy their Florida-dream-opportunity sight unseen, and move down to the land of eternal sunshine. (And many did!)

In my angsty teenage years I was fond of calling it 'Sprung Hell' - with a HUGE eyeroll. 😩 I couldn't wait to move out and go off to Uni, some place far, far away.

i've made a few sc4 terrains for myself n decided, why not share them in case anyone else would like them? i decided that was a pretty splendid idea hehe!

so!! i have three sc4 terrains to share! not quite perfect (i think the tutorial i followed told me not to drag the roads off the edge of the map?) but still made with love! i wish i remembered what tutorial taught me how to make sc4 terrains, but i did indeed use greatcheesecakepersona's hoodplanner to help plan them out! MAJOR BLESSING!!

i personally prefer smaller terrains with roads that have an exit/entry point and are a bit closer together so i made these! bought simcity 4 just to make them honestly haha, that game is so hard ,, i only open it to make n edit terrains for sims 2 now it's just a sims 2 tool to me atp LMAOO

to install these terrains, put the extracted files in your documents/ea games/the sims 2/sc4terrains folder! whatever your path may be haha

anyways i oughta learn to stop yapping (i wont), onto the terrains!

Junimo Shore ♡ junimo shore indeed is a stardew valley reference, i've got sdv brainrot bad (fun fact: the two roads at the bottom are called stardrop street and cindersap road! those are my only two residential roads so that's all haha) ♡ the road that stops at the mountains seems weird i know, it's because i put a tunnel there from criquette's ultimate railway set! then i just put a bunch of rocks around it haha ♡ download linkies: [sfs] [mf]

New Giwen ♡ this isn't even his original form haha, new giwen started off with very few roads since he was created for my off-camera bacc, i just added more roads as needed! i probably won't be playing new giwen anymore (ily 4eva bb) so this is likely his final form! (actually my current new giwen has two more roads but idk what i did with that file) ♡ shoutout to my cat nigiri, who i call giwen haha that's where the name comes from (my mom now calls nigiri "old giwen") ♡ i'm pretty sure i have a blueprint of the rest of the roads i was thinking of adding somewhere, if i find it i might finish it up and share it for you guys! ♡ download linkies: [sfs] [mf]
