do you have any adive in removing and replacing a stripped screw?? my 1995 has a horrible stripped screw in hee battery case and i know its fixable, but i dont want to damage her.
I do know a couple tricks for removing screws with stripped heads! On ‘98 furbs, the battery screw heads are designed to be usable for either a Phillips (cross) head or flat head screwdriver– if the Phillips head part is stripped, you may be able to turn it with a flat head instead. Failing that, you might try some of the tips here! You may also need to grip the edges of the screw head with pliers and pull it out of the battery case, since they are designed not to fall out.
For replacing the screw, the easiest option would be using a screw that’s still in good shape from a non-working Furby. You could buy new screws, but the battery case screw is pretty specialized so you might not be able to find a replacement easily.
