Who's Wearing the Crown?
@tokiwagym
This seemed too perfect. A cave behind the waterfall? Sure it was possible, but it felt so cliche in some ways. Not that Karen could complain too much. Besides she wouldn't be in Johto much longer, at least that was the plan. All she needed was a place to stay for a few more nights till she could get that fake passport in. After that getting to another region would be easy. Especially with interpol focused on the madness the attempted revival of Rocket had caused. Fools, there was only w ways Rocket would return. Either Giovanni stepped back into the picture, and with a good story for what he's been up to. Or the second option which Archer sadly didn't seem to have the balls to do, ditch him completely to have a true reincarnation. A shame neither seems like options.
That wasn't her business though, not anymore. Not since a year ago when her branch of Rocket finally fell, and Will...... No! Karen shook her head as she held her long jacket closer to her body refusing to think about that. She'd find him, just once things calmed down. Following her flapping murrow along the cliff face Karen refocused on the task, finding a place to stay for the night. With the sounds of crashing water becoming louder in her ears as she refocused on her surroundings. A bit further, she told herself seeing the ledge with the cave opening. Her murrow was flapping above the entrance waiting his own wings silent compared to the flow of water.
After a few more cautious steps Karen hopped her way to the final ledge. She hadn't looked in yet instead taking a moment to take a breath, and remove the mask from her face. The sharply angled smile the image most knew her by if they knew of her at all.
"Good boy Trouble, good bird."
She cooed as the pokemkn landed on her shoulder. As her hand lifted to give him reward scratches under the chin her eyes caught something. Or someone a s they moved. Though they were using the darkness to conceal themselves they likely didn't know they were dealing with a dark type trainer who could make out an outline from where she stood.
Heh, time to do a reverse ambush. She thought keeping her expression the same as she stepped inside making sure to keep track of the stranger.
