Fighting ring au Master post
I’m completely remaking this post, so all the information will be under a readmore cause..... it’s gonna be loooong.
Children are captured at young ages to fight against each other for the adults amusement.
There are four different fighting rings
The School: residing within the Pale city, children are brought there to be tested and see if they gain powers or not, they are thrown against bullies, porcelain husks they never tire, they bombard the children continuously until the child either activates their powers (tap into a monster like form) or die, once the initial power is unlocked the beasts are brought in. This ring is owned by the teacher and is the least threatening of the other rings.
design of it is a simple wooden floor with some broken desks and chairs strewn about, walls are too smooth for children to try and flee so no netting is really necessary, and the teacher watches like a hawk if anyone tries.
Twisted beasts: once regular animals that have been corrupted by the signal towers influence. Some brought in by the scientist who made them even worse, amalgamations with not a single thought in their head, only doing whatever is commanded.
Forest ring: A fighting ring outside of the city, This ring houses those who had tapped into their monster forms or powers, looking somewhat animalistic in appearance, the children fight with powers or claws and teeth. This ring is run by the Hunter
appearance it’s a grassy field with trees and a lake with a river (cameras are put in the more tree heave areas and shows the fights on a big tv above the ring) Wire mesh is above the ring so children can’t climb out
Maw Ring: This ring resides in the maw, Run by the lady, savage children are sent here, powers sometimes normally used and even weapons are used, this ring is also known to have wild and feral children because they are scarcely fed and it leads to some fights ending up with the winner devouring the dead. this ring is run by the lady.
appearance wise, its a stone floor blood splatters on the wall and bones left on the floor, iron bars and chains cover the top of the pit, giving enough view for the audience but not enough space for a child to squeeze through.
The Zoo: (a majority of this ring was collaborated with the wonderful @adventurer-gearld so if there are any questions you are free to ask them or I can help with some input of my own) This ring is unique in it can change depending on what its being used for. This ring houses most of the wild animal children who look or act more animal than human. Most children from the forest or maw end up here when they are too animalistic to keep in their own rings. This ring is run by the zookeeper who finds a use for a child for whichever is needed, the kid can’t fight? make them perform tricks, can’t perform? then they fight. It’s rumored that the zookeeper makes the most money because of this but it can’t be confirmed nor denied.
It isn’t uncommon for the zoo to have some of their children in the same cage/enclosure as sometimes they are duos in performances.
The zoos ring changes, it could be a large foresty place with rivers and lakes, or it can look like a circus with hoops and platforms and all forms or entertainment.
The Tower: The signal towers ring is at the very center of the Pale city, this ring is the most... Interesting as alot of what happens in the ring isn’t necessarily seen on the surface, its in the fighters mind, reality is warped, fighters see their worst fears or worse. This ring is run by the thin man.
Appearance wise, its all completely white, clean, no blemishes, and a large tv screen hovering above the ring.
The hospital: The hospital works like any hospital does, fighters (at least the big moneymakers) are taken there to be treated for their more severe injuries, nomes are seen waddling around with medical tools to help heal these children until they are well enough to fight again.
Sometimes the ring leaders like to mix it up and have “double battles” where two fighters are partnered up and if one loses then the other team loses.
Haven
Haven is a place where children who escaped the fighting ring reside, it’s deep in the forest itself hidden in the trees. Raiders (lead by Phil) sneak into the rings cage areas while leaders aren’t there and staff are asleep, they open cages and lead children out to safety. Rehabilitators (lead by Alex) work with children who were rescued and bring them some type of normalcy to their lives (rehabilitators are therapists in a way, they use different methods of keeping their patient calm be it music, incense or tiring the child out in a tussle, this is for more of the physically strong rehabilitators) Guardians (Lead by Dan) they are protectors of Haven, they’ll assist raiders and lure adults away from haven and break up any fights. there is a mock scuffle ring in the center of it where kids can scuffle to burn energy if they need do (guardians keep watch so fights don’t get too dangerous)
There is another place of interest, The lab: The lab is a place where twisted beasts are brought to be experimented on by the scientist, as well as children, some twisted creatures seen in other rings (mostly the forest) are amalgamations of creatures mashed into one, some say maniacal laughter gets heard in the halls of the lab.
