Currently reading: Twisted Lives, by Ali Spooner
So… Not finished yet but almost, so I don’t think I’ll change my mind unless the ending is very unexpected. Lots of sex (I mean, really lots), which I enjoy, but the story’s not very interesting. The starting point was, though, so I’m kinda disappointed.
Tangled Things
Tangled things are trying matters. Wires and ear buds folded in complex sailor’s knots only your pocket knows, becoming an indiscriminate wad of rubber. Hair snarled and rubbed into fierce puffs. That shoe lace that won’t come undone. Tangled words, misunderstood offenses, misplaced anger. Tangles lurking silent and invisible, apologies left unsaid and forgiveness never offered. Conflicting schedules tangle time, twisting it into a threatening pretzel of unfinished work. The tangled travels of crumpled papers left in the wrong parent’s house. A tangle of new families. New strings, barely set on the loom, already spiraling with the others. Tangles are inevitable when there are many threads. They twist, different colored strands, in sprawling patterns. Random and sporadic they come together to form something. Some only touch once, some twist together always, and some yet will never meet. But all are part of the same cloth.
