Oh cool my bot's follow alerts just broke
How'd I find out? When I realized people had been following me during my stream but the bot failed to trigger the alert every single time
And now apparently I need to use a completely different method for tracking follows, bits, and whatnot using Twitch's EventSub endpoint rather than PubSub.
"EventSub is the future" well I really shoulda looked into that when I first started making the damn bot BACK IN SEPTEMBER. OF 2022.
I HAVE ONE WEEK TO SET THIS SHIT UP BEFORE THE 12 HOUR RACE ON THE 10TH
God dammit I wanted to work on some new features for the bot and maybe even a Subathon counter for future use but oh NOOOOOO the ONE ALERT I REALLY DON'T WANT TO BREAK IS NOW BROKEN

This is a blog for bots, mostly chat bots used for streaming services as well as discord. Maybe one day this will have several editors, but for right now it’s only being run by one person.
