Blog 2 - Twitter: My Best Remedy
Second to the most used social media in the world is twitter which have 320 million users. Twitter is an online news and social networking service where users post and interact with messages.
Tweets are limited to 140 characters only. Some people tend to think that this is not enough to post about businesses, events and such. However, with 140 characters it will teach you how to be creative through posting with limited characters. You’ll be directly saying want you want to say without going around the bush to make it fit in 140 characters. You can freely express your thoughts, feelings, whatabouts, whereabouts and more. You can tweet and tweet even though no one’s talking to you, even though no one’s following you. You can follow anyone you want, you can tweet anyone you want to. I love using this application because I can fully express myself even though no one wants to listen about it. I can share my problems without expecting any pieces of advice in return. Because sometimes I just want to speak my heart out, I just want to share what my mind is telling me.
Twitter is there to listen to every rant, every problem, and every uncertainty in life. It may limit you but it will also give you unlimited thoughts and ideas from other people. It’s very convenient to use because you can tweet every second and anywhere as long as you’re connected to the internet.
There was a big breakthrough when some users were selected by twitter to tweet with 280 characters. I wasn’t selected, however, I want to tweet with more characters and so I find ways and gladly found one. 280 characters gave me freedom to say whatever I want to, I need not to reply to myself nor make a thread because I can tweet it completely. Twitter has updates always; I love the changes and development of it. I’ll be waiting for the time when it would have an edit button so that I no longer need to tweet again when I had typos or mistakes in my tweets. In that way, I can correct my mistakes even just in twitter. This December, twitter and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary and will still be counting for more...
