Lois’ notebook: basically a stationary pad, her third one this week, grabbed from the corner store on her way to work, half the pages are already torn out and the rest are covered in messy notes crammed on the paper, most of the coherent sentences are written in the margins and are in no way parallel to the lines
Clark’s notebook: a smooth forest green moleskine with an elastic closer and pen holder on the side, some pages are dogeared and most are covered in his elegant, neat handwriting with the occasional bullet-pointed list or circled quote, his notebook for that quarter (he’s already planned on getting a nice gray one next), constantly forgotten in the bottom of his bag but he always remembers to write everything down in it later
Martha’s notebook: one of those little list magnets stuck to her fridge, full of very neat cursive handwriting detailing lists and the occasional phone number
Darcie’s notebook: a dot grid journal she found at the local bookstore, has a photograph of mars on the front, her handwriting is very straight and proper and legible, but half of the notebook’s content is physics formulas and the other half is in Russian, and every single page is carefully dated and the location is jotted down in the margins
