It often blurs the lines between reality and hallucinations to the point where the audience can’t trust the main character’s perception of how things are and may involve mental breakdowns/characters descending into madness. Psychological horror often utilizes shadows, dim lighting, and confined locations like hotels, asylums, or hospitals.

I've been busy typing away at two books, one that comes out in 8 months and 2 days, not like I have a countdown app on my phone or anything, and one that comes out next summer (2026). Below is each book with AO3 style tags
