DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police need your assistance to identify two suspects who robbed a senior citizen.
The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspect’s wanted for a robbery that occurred on the city’s west side.
On March 6, 2018 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., in the 20000 block of W. 7 Mile, the victim, a 77 year old female, was approached by a black male asking her if she would like to become a part of an investment group. The victim was then approached by a black female stating that she knew the victim from church. The victim finished pumping gas, got in her car when the female suspect entered the vehicle with her hand in her pocket. The female suspect instructed the victim drive to Bank of America at Oakman and Livernois, and instructed the victim to withdraw an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The victim was then told to drive to Evergreen and 7 Mile to meet the other suspect but the male never reappeared. The suspect then took the withdrawn cash from the victim and fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured.
Suspect #1: Black, male, approximately 60 years old
Suspect #2: Black, female, approximately 45 years old

The evacuation was short. About 5 or so minuets. Right after the 3 round of gunfire the emergency alarm went off and panic ensued, I helped a few people who were confused, grabbed my friends and left the top emergency exit of the theater. This exit lead to the front entrance where we saw to officers rush in, one with her pistol drawn and another with a shotgun.
When I got outsied, I talked to EVERYONE who wasn't crying or talking on phones. From all the info I gathered:
One guy said that there was a white care leaving the theather soon after the shooting was done. He had came to an earlier move that had just let out right when the gunshots where fired. He ran out front after the second round of gunfire and soon after saw a white car speed out front the left side of the theater.
I talked to this guy who was more calm than I was about what happened in 9 and he said he was seated in the upped middle row and saw TWO people enter when the tear gas went off. He couldn't make out what they where wearing because he cover his children and wife form gunfire.
I talked to a woman who was in the second or third row (she didn't make it clear, she was quite shooken up and covered with blood) and she saw two gas grenades go off near her before her friends got shot.
Other various people from 9 couldn't really talk about what they saw. They were ether two emotional, held up by police, or injured.
Walking around the questioning areas, I overheard a woman who was REALLY irate, screaming "THERE WERE TWO!" to the police. I could get a good look at her, all I saw was that she was covered in blood and surrounded buy EMTs/Police officers. They took her to an ambulance and then to one of the mobile command centers. She seems like and older, heavy-set woman. Short. Hispanic or white (light-skinned).
