"Waste of a Day" by Two Weeks Running

With a few plucks of the bass, some dueling electric guitars and finally a swelling of drums, Bolton, England five-piece Two Weeks Running tear into their latest single, “Waste of a Day.” A followup to their acclaimed hit “Holy Ghost,” the new tune is another shimmering slice of alt-rock, combining the gloss of Foals with the strut of early Strokes – both of which are noted influences. 

“Waste of a Day,” hailed as a stand out track at BBC’s ‘Introducing Masterclass,’ also precedes the November release of the band’s highly-anticipated sophomore EP, “Human Nature.” Both the single and EP effectively capture the sweat-soaked adrenaline of their popular live shows and reaffirm the potential Two Weeks Running have shown from the start.

Two Weeks Running will be coming out with their EP "Human Nature" on November 3rd.

TWO WEEKS RUNNING

HELLO, it's a new day and we're excited to write about TWO WEEKS RUNNING. Manchester based indie, rock 'n' roll group takes us by storm this week. With their laid back, lad vibe and their guitar melodies, they're slotting into the British music scene very nicely and as they've recently been presented on BBC's Introducing, we're not wrong.  We're sure touring with the likes of Reverend and the Makers and the Wombats ensured that they got the publicity this kick ass band deserve..

Although that's not the only reason they deserve to be highlighted and risen to the top of music stardom. We checked out some of their tracks on soundcloud and its safe to say pretty damn good. Yes they have similar vibes to bands that are currently out there, but there's something different from these lot. The first few seconds in of 'Waste of a day' and it had our feet tapping and our heads nodding. Normally bands like this takes us a couple of listens too before you're ranting about them to the girls next door or your pals down the pub. But with Two Weeks Running this isn't the case, they bring an element of fun and teenage angst, you just want to belt the lyrics out-it has that Enter Shikari vibe to it - that we feel most people are going to be able to relate to. 

So basically, we think these guys are going to go far, bravo boys. Their on itunes, go buy a track or two.
