Nick came to a stop at the top of the hill scanning the area quietly as he did so.  He pulled his worn out baseball cap off and ran his fingers through his dark hair; before glancing back to check on Ember she slowly caught up with him.  He held out the canteen too her.  “Will need to find Shelter for the night soon,”  He nodded. The girl nodded as she took the drink from the Canteen before kneeling down pulling a cup from her pack and filling it with water for the large black shepherd who was keeping pace with her. He nodded putting the cap back on his head; scanning the area frowning a little.  “Its too damn quiet.”  He mumbled chuckling as the dog let out a grumbling sound in response.

The man sighed softly as he sat at the end of a small bar, the building starting to become dilapidated but hey cheap drinks he figured. "Hey can I get another modelo?" The merc asked the bartender who abliged. As he took his first sip he heard someone walk through the door. The merc smiled and waved hello.

“Well...this is odd...” Will mused to himself as he came upon a envelop with his name on it on a little stand on the dinnering room table...that he and Katherine and the boys rarely ate at. That said, the metahuman was intrigued, given that it had been a week after his birthday and he hadn’t been expecting something like this. Picking up the envelop, the dark blond haired male opened it and pulled out the card to read what it said.

“Huh...” Was the sound that Will let out as he read the first clue as to what was going on. Turning towards the kitchen, he walked in to find a clue and a key. Picking those up, the tall male set about following the other clues, wondering where they would lead him, though he definitely picked up on hints about presents and the master bedroom.
