Book of the month questions:
So as mentioned in the previous post, Laura and I will be posting our questions at the start of each month after we announce the book of the month.
In order for it to not get too repetitive we decided that we should have 10 staple questions which deals with the general review and analysis of the book (these questions will remain the same each month), and 10 off-the-wall questions (5 picked by Laura, and 5 picked by yours truly); which will change every month!! Crazy, I know!
We also encourage you to send you question ideas for
Laura and I to use as our “off-the-wall” pick’s for upcoming months.

1. Write down your thoughts--after reading the opening chapter(s) of the book. How do your impressions change (or do they) after reading half the book? Do you feel any differently after finishing the book?
2. Write a short description of each character, Which one is your favorite? Is there a character you hate/detest/dislike? why?
3. What is your favorite line/quote/moment in the book, identify the passage and explain why.
4. Write a brief summary or review of the book from your point of view.
5. What did you think of the plot? Was it captivating? If so, in what ways?
6. If you had written the book, is there anything you would have changed? why?
7. If the book were being adapted into a movie, who would you want to see play which character?
8. Did the book end the way you expected? How did you think it was going to end?
9. If you could ask the author any question, what would it be and why?
10. Did you enjoy the book? Why, or why not? what are your final comments about the book?

“Off-the-wall” September Questions:
1. Take the main character and put them in another situation. Would they be a waitress at a diner? An undercover spy?
2. Imagine two of the characters in the book are put in an arena and must fight to the death. Who wins and who loses?
3. The main character is a lead in a fairy tale. Which character are they and what fairy tale do they belong in?
4. Change the gender of the main character. What kind of affect would it have had on the story?
5. Do you think one of the side characters would have had a better point of view for the story? If so, who and why?
2. If the book had a soundtrack what would it be?
3. Zombie apocalypse. Which character is going to drag you down and which character would be the most beneficial to have around?
4. One of the characters becomes your real life best friend. What do you see you and this character doing?
5. Was humor a part of the book? Do you think it would have been better with or without?
