Natani was born a female Forest Wolf Keidran, but has identified as male ever since a spell merged his soul with that of his older brother Zen, which sparked a reconsideration of his own gender identity, which he hadn't really thought about as a kid.
Natani has had a rough life, having lost his parents at a very young age and being forced into a criminal guild alongside his brother in order to survive. During this time in the guild, he and his brother attempted to assassinate a powerful mage, who ripped apart Natani's soul while also ending his own life in the process. The only way to save Natani was to bind part of Zen's soul with his, leaving them permanently linked.
Natani is strong-willed and independent, but sensitive about gender-related conversations as he's still coming to terms with and questioning his own identity. He's skilled with an informal type of magic known as "dirty magic" as well as with a sword and throwing knives.
